People are worried if Dak is a top 10 QB or not. Who really cares when he keeps flopping in the playoffs.
It’s ANY solid team. Dak always starts off slow and usually throws picks in big games. If you notice, even on the completions Dak was throwing to the wrong receiver who has multiple defenders. Dak’s biggest limitation is his lack of ability to see the field.

Cowboys want Dak to be their John Elway. Keep him forever and hope he rides off into the sunset at the end of his career as a champion. Except by year 8, Elway had already taken the Broncos to 3 Super Bowls, even though they lost. If you have a QB capable of taking a team that far, sure - you ride it out and hope that they can finally get over the hump. But Dak's resume should give no team a reason to keep him around for almost a decade  It's just so bad, we are in rough shape with no positive outlook.

Just like a team eventually checks out on a coach whose message has gone stale, you run the same risk sticking with a QB who can't get it done in big games. Earlier in the season Dak was getting showered with praise for organizing an offseason 'mental performance exercise' with some ex-Navy SEALs..anyone here remember that? Here's a little snippet, try not to laugh:
Prescott emerged from the Cowboys’ second straight postseason loss to the San Francisco 49ers saying: I need to exhaust all resources.

How could he ensure a roster widely considered to have contending-caliber talent doesn’t fall short again?

“I don't wanna just be culture, culture and how to build a better culture because we're good on that — it’s more about how to use your culture,” Prescott told Yahoo Sports. “It doesn’t mean anything if guys aren’t telling us what they’re sacrificing or what they’re trying to get better at, and if other guys aren’t holding them to that.”

Prescott “most proud about” his teammates’ buy-in. “Every one of the guys had a notebook full of notes,” he beamed. Amid strategies to win each moment and day, the “X” was explicit.

The Cowboys. In the Super Bowl. On Feb. 11, 2024.

So what gimmick is Dak going to cook up this offseason? And better yet why would anybody on the team continue to buy in to any of his messages?

Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are two QBs that Dak will forever be linked to considering they went 1 and 2 while Dak went in the 4th round. Both of them were a big part in their team’s reaching the Super Bowl, but both of them were traded after receiving big contracts because their headcoach/gm realized they werent good enough going forward.

Matthew Stafford took over for Goff and lead his team to a Super Bowl win in his first year w the team. Jalen Hurts took over for Wentz and lead his team to a Super Bowl in his second year as a starter.

So not only did those two franchises have success with both of these QBs, they quickly identified that they werent the long term answer and moved on and had immediate success with their new QB.

What is Dallas doing???
Great Post!!

Always will stand by Dak but I agree if you’re going to move away from Dak, this is the perfect time. He played well enough that a team would trade for him and the Cowboys have a young quarterback that has 1st round talent. Hopefully we can have intelligent conversations about the Cowboys this offseason. We have a top end receiver, good young tight end and an all pro youngster to build along the offensive line. Lance can run the football so you don’t need a great running back. Defensively we have Micha, Diggs and Bland. If you want a quick rebuild this is the roster to do it. All those guys are 25 years old or younger. I would bring in a young coach but you could talk me into Bill if he brings McDaniels as his offensive coordinator. Not a fan of the old Houston coach.

Exactly right

He's a fraud. An empty suit. And more and more of them are figuring it out

I’ve said all along Dak isn’t better than Goff. And he’s not. With that said I wouldn’t pay Goff 55 million a year either, but he’s better than Dak. This fallacy that it’s impossible to move on from a QB is silly. Teams do it with success quite often. This team would have won 10 games with cooper Rush and most likely lost in the first round too. Problem is this team is going to get worse now. Jerry needs to look deep and move on. Doing that same thing over and over and getting the same results is insanity!
