They broke the mold with Brody.
He was an amazing combination of size, agility and shear out & out aggressiveness.
His mike skills weren't as good as Piper, Flair, Bockwinkle or some of the other top mike guys of era but man could he whip a crowd into a frenzy like few wrestlers could, either as a face or a heel. And the funny thing is that he put on the same show in the ring whether he was a face or a heel.
Saw him many times at the local hall in front of only 2000 people at most. Somehow I feat he will never get his due credit. That was back in the good old Central States days with Harley Race, Bulldog Bob Brown, Rufus R Jones when they wrestled in Kansas City, Wichita, Des Moines, St Joseph, and Topeka. Race was the man back then and won the belt 8 times if I recall. He was born outside of KC and always brought huge crowds.
