I want GB again for sure. New Orleans has Brees and Jameis is improving. Carolina you never know, they beat Washington when Washington had everything to play for.

You'd rather play GB than Detroit? I guess from a revenge factor, sure, but from a win/loss perspective, I'd rather face Detroit.

Just saying before this year started everyone thought the AFC North was going to be really hard..

We thought the AFC North would be physical, and they were. But I get your point and we can't guess what next year's teams will actually look like when we play them.

We don't know how good Detroit will be. As long as they have a qb they're a threat. As long as Minnesota has that defense they're a threat. Chicago new rookie qb may be another Dak. I don't buy this year schedule being so tough. That's just me though

Another reason why this year was such a wasted opportunity. A tough division is only going to get tougher and add a 1st place schedule and they may not even make the playoffs yet alone earn home field.

The FO can't sit on their hands this year.
Rumours swirling around that if AP gets released he will be a Giant. That scares me.

I'd be more concerned with the Giants going after Thomas, moving flowers inside, and putting Pugh at RT.

That would solidify their line pretty well, provided that the switch for Flowers would play to his strengths.

But they would probably suck still, seeing how Manning is 36 and deteriorating.

If the Giants spent on AP, I'd be thrilled.

We play gb which means ny gets an improved Detroit and Washington gets an improved Vikings. We get Atlanta and ny/Washington get good teams. We get Seattle and ny gets Arizona and who knows how Rams/niners will be. This tough schedule stuff is a myth

Exactly. We get Atlanta but Tampa is up and coming team and I doubt Carolina will be bad as it was this year. Saints are always tough at home.

The division is not strong.

Washington isn't that good. The Giants will not win 11 games next season. The Eagles are just overrated.

The Cowboys are clearly the class of this division.

Those teams would have to have a draft like our '16 class to have a chance of winning this division, and we would have to have a draft like '09 and sign nobody and lose all our free agents.

Dallas - 12-4
Philly - 7-9 - 9-7
Wash - 7-9
Giants 7-9

My point was the Superbowl hasn't even been played yet and we've already got people speculating that the Cowboys may not make the playoffs next year. Your right, it has nothing to do with the Superbowl per se, it's just an analogy on how quickly people are speculating that is team may not make the playoffs next year.

after 20 plus years, yea, the odds are in the favor of missing. Thats NOT on Garrett tho, but he isnt helping.

There is just know way of knowing just how tough the schedule will be, until after the season starts and teams begin to establish themselves as contenders or pretenders. People need to face up to the fact that there is fine line between winning and losing in the NFL. That's why you have to build your team to compete in all three fazes of the game. Good defense, good special teams, and a balanced offense will allow a team to compete against anyone. Green Bay, Detroit, Tamp,Atlanta, or Carolina, it doesn't matter who Dallas plays, because Dallas can beat either of those teams, and they can lose to either of those teams. The league is about parity, so teams that are good, but are also exceptional in a particular area of the game, can sometimes give themselves a edge against an opponent. Parity causes a big premium to be placed on coaching and execution, which can be big factor in who wins or loses.

The league needs to rebalance how they hand out schedules each year. Why do the first place teams always have to play all first place teams?
And they wonder why teams like Houston and Miami make the playoffs and make the NFL look like a watered down mess of a product.
