I always like to watch the combine, but with players doing the drills for multiple spots, I wish there was some way to quantify the outcome as a percentage of weight. Hasson's weight comes in line with WR, LBers, etc not really DL.
Below I picked the obvious guys to demonstrate.
From a pure time Hasson was the fastest of the DL, but he only weighed 237 pounds. Not that heavy. Myles was 4.64 @ 272 pounds. So when they show the rankings, it is pure results. The bigger guy didn't record the fastest time but at his weight was the most impressive.
I wish they would show it as a percentage to level the playing field. Why not have John Ross run as DL and set the all time record for the DL ( j/k not sure if possible)
Haason Reddick Temple
6-1 237
40 yard - 4.52
4.52 / 237 = .0190717
Myles Garrett Texas A&M
6-4 272
40 yard - 4.64
4.64 / 272 = .0170588
