I had Cook as the number 1 QB in November before the bowl game. IMO number 1 but not a franchise guy, and the rest were nothing special.

It's a pretty lousy slate of senior quarterbacks. Joshua Dobbs has some talent, but needs to bulk up and improve on his decision making. Gunner Kiel also has some tools, but has had concussion problems.

Absolutely not on board with Dobbs he's not accurate.. my friends are huge Vols fan i told them last year the QB position is holding them back because ehe can't throw accurate balls consistently..

TN would have been in SEC Championship last year if they had a QB who could throw especially with that WR talent there

I hope that Chad Kelly keeps on developing. He is a gutsy QB like his uncle Jim. He seems to be getting better and better and he has really stepped up in big games like the Ole Miss-Alabama games. Ole Miss has won the last two games against Bama in convincing fashion partly due to his leadership and play. He is s bit of a gambler like his uncle as well.

My 2017 favorite as well.

He's a much better version of Prescott; not as tall. My fear is that Jerry rarely ever admits mistakes that soon (if ever) and will not draft another QB for a few years.

This guy has it all and makes Dak look he's JV.

My problem with Mahomes is the system he plays in.

Yes. But he can play in any system. If Russell Wilson and Ben Rothlesberger had a kid it would be him.

Kelly seems to have that "it" factor that there is no stats for , but it wins on the field. I think he will continue to get better every game.

Just responded to you in the other thread Catch. You're missing Mahomes in that list. Baker Mayfield couldn't hold his jock. If you have seen him play watch some video. He's not your typical spread/Tech QB. He has "it". One of the strongest arms in football, can move, pocket awareness, and is a leader. All that and he's only a junior this upcoming season.

Good call on Mahomes... That kid is something else.

I think he's easily the top QB prospect from what I've seen so far.


We got no shot at drafting him.

Also, he's a Cowboy fan.

He's probably hoping for any team except the Cowboys due to...well, you know. I imagine the hatred runs deep in that family for the Cowboys.

What are you basing that on? From everything I have read, there will not be another QB at Goffbir Wentz's level for a couple years minimum. I have noticed that next year's class don't have the preferred size like this year's class.

I don't think once can say Mahomes is "easily" the top QB prospect with Watson sitting out there. Watson is far more athletic and was surprisingly a better passer (efficiency ratings) than Mahomes. I tend we get a little too Texas-centric with guys.

Mahomes might not even be a Top 3 QB prospect in the draft next year when all is said and done.

I think he's basing it on the potential guys that could come out - Watson, Mason Rudolph, Kayaa, Kizer, Mahomes, Luke Falk, etc. Size wise, Watson is around 6-2, but Rudolph is 6-5, Kizer is 6-4, Kayaa is 6-4, Falk is 6-4, Patrick Mahomes is 6-3. A few of these guys could end up being first round picks. Watson and Kayaa seem like locks at this point based on most of the scouts takes.
