If the Dallas area is somehow miraculously selected to host the 2018 NFL draft, any ideas on which of the venues (AT&T, The Star or other) would be the most likely location?

Any opinions are most appreciated!

The Star. I believe Jerry or Stephen have been quoted saying that the would like to see the draft held at the Star. They are bidding for the draft within the first year the Star has been built. They could have bid some time ago if they wanted it in Arlington.

Edit:

I still say the Star will be the main attraction. It's stupid to use both. I wouldn't go for that if I were the NFL considering how far Arlington is to Frisco. That's ridiculous

I can't see how the STAR would be the venue for the first round. My buddy that works for the Cowboys said more than likely the Stadium will be the place for the first night.

Makes more sense to have it in Arlington.

I heard on the Ticket -- the Monday after the draft -- that Jerry originally wanted it at the Star, but after seeing the crowd in Philly that turned out for the draft, they realized the Star would be way too small for that type of crowd. So possibly Arlington is the plan now.

The Star isn't large enough to hold the draft. But I also can't see the NFL putting the draft at a team's stadium. Jerry should really bid for something around Downtown Dallas, but he won't.

Ford Center isn't big enough?

I agree completely, and Frisco is far from everything. At least Arlington is right in the middle of Dallas and Ft. WORTH.

Have you been to Frisco lately? It's the place to be in the metroplex right now. Skyscrapers, corporate headquarters, and high-rise condos are being build all over in the North Plano/Frisco area. Way nicer than Arlington.

Philly had crowds in the 70,000 range. Crowds of that size would need to be at AT & T or some open area. Ford Center is too small.
With crowds that large, why would the Cowboys choose "some open area" when they have AT&T stadium?

I don't know what Jerry has floating around his noggin. Chicago and Philly had theirs in huge parks somewhere in the city. Maybe Dallas would do the same. Or maybe not.

I go to Frisco with once a week. It's nice, but there's nothing special about it. The distance and extremely inconvenient drive don't make it an ideal destination.

Other locations don't have Jerryworld. If we are in fact talking about a crowd that big, Jerry wants that captive audience to spend their dollars inside his deathstar.
