Other locations don't have Jerryworld. If we are in fact talking about a crowd that big, Jerry wants that captive audience to spend their dollars inside his deathstar.
Probably. But you can be sure Jerry will have the catering contract no matter where it takes place.

I don't know what Jerry has floating around his noggin. Chicago and Philly had theirs in huge parks somewhere in the city. Maybe Dallas would do the same. Or maybe not.

Is there a large outdoor park/venue in Dallas/Ft. Worth that would be a reasonable alternative setting? It could be seriously awkward for the NFL/Goddell to tee up Jerry for a major financial windfall in his own digs.

If the Dallas area is somehow miraculously selected to host the 2018 NFL draft, any ideas on which of the venues (AT&T, The Star or other) would be the most likely location?

Any opinions are most appreciated!
They originally thought the star, but after seeing the turnout in Philly, said it'd be at the Stadium

It's a heck of a lot more than just catering dollars that Jerry will be collecting if hosting this event at AT&T stadium.

What about the fairgrounds or the Cotton Bowl?

It would be pretty boss to host the draft at your own stadium. Can't see it happening though

Having the draft in a stadium would be so lame imo considering Phili and Chicago managed to hold their drafts in separate venues besides their stadiums. What about Klyde Warren Park or somewhere in West Dallas next to those new bridges?

Ford Center isn't big enough?

Not for what the NFL wants to do.

They can do it inside and outside there.

People starting to see what I was saying. Have it in an urban location not only where it draws crowd, but there are other things around for people to do. That's why it was a success in Chicago and Philadelphia. Having it in boring Arlington or Frisco would be a let down. Put it in the Arts District or something.

Have you been to Frisco lately? It's the place to be in the metroplex right now. Skyscrapers, corporate headquarters, and high-rise condos are being build all over in the North Plano/Frisco area. Way nicer than Arlington.

Lol. Frisco isn't even Arlington 30 years ago. People want to be entertained, not just take pictures.

Arlington has Six Flags, Texas Rangers, Downtown Entertainment, 100s of great restaurants, Water Park, Mall and Shopping Centers, Nearby Horse Track, Musical Entertainment, Bowling Alleys, Movie Theaters, Parks, Jogging Trails and plenty of Lodging and Car Rental Agencies, Lake Joe Pool and Camping. You ready for the big catcher? DFW Airport is like 8 miles away. C'mon man!
