I was looking at Spotrac the CAP for the Eagles for 2019.

Did some roster movements to save some $$$$ as they are way over.
This is what I did.
  1. Traded Nick Foles (PHI) for Josh Rosen (ARI)
    (Saved: $17,520,102)
  2. Released Jason Peters
    (Saved: $8,000,000)
  3. Released Nelson Agholor
    (Saved: $9,387,000)
  4. Released Jason Kelce
    (Saved: $6,500,000)
  5. Fletcher Cox cap hit changed from $22,000,000 to $17,000,000
    (Saved: $5,000,000)
  6. Lane Johnson cap hit changed from $15,527,500 to $12,750,000
    (Saved: $2,777,500)
  7. Alshon Jeffery cap hit changed from $14,725,000 to $11,500,000
    (Saved: $3,225,000)

  1. This is where it left me.

  1. Total Available Cap: $177,200,000
  2. Total Team Cap $:$182,719,674
  3. Cap Space:$-5,519,674
  4. Total Savings:$52,409,602
I feel it's a given Foles will not be on the Eagles from about 2018 mid year or at all in 2019.

Don't kill me on the players released.

Any other ways you see to save?

This is their current 2019 CAP number without moves.
Maximum Salary Cap: $177,200,000
  • Active Contracts: $235,129,276
  • Total Cap: $235,129,276
  • Est. Cap Space: $-57,929,276

What?
Why would Arizona do that?

It was a trade to get Foles off their roster and get their CAP hit way down.
In reality it will be for draft picks.

And I'm just trying to get a look at what may be in store for them next year.

They'd (Ari) would have to be idiots to trade away Rosen. I remember when rosen first started at UCLA as a freshman I really wanted him to be a cowboy down the road. This was before dak of course.

This is a really odd post.

Josh Rosen was the 10th overall pick in this past draft (2018).

Pffffftt. I think Philthy should keep all their players ... they did win them their 1st NFL championship in the modern SB era.

Screw 'em! They're a sordid team from a sordid city with sordid fans.
