To be fair, the defense only gave up 15 to Philly. They then returned a fumble for a TD and got a safety.
yeah there is no telling how many points are the fault of the offense.
In the wash game, the offense and mm gave the skins 17 easy points in the early going, and maybe 17 more in the 4th.

The defense is bad though , but the offense and mm is part of the problem

People are always more willing to make excuses for the defense than the offense. We can talk about offensive turnovers all day but they have nothing to do with this:

Passing yards allowed per game - 21st in the NFL
Passing TDs allowed per game - 32nd in the NFL
Rushing yards allowed per game - 32nd in the NFL
Rushing TDs allowed per game - 27th in the NFL
Takeaways - 28th in the NFL

If I'm not mistaken Dallas is still in play to give up the most points in NFL history. That's not off the table yet. In order to tie or break the record a team needs to average 33.3 points per game. After 11 games Dallas gives up an average of 32.6 PPG. That's under a point.

I'm hoping the the Cowboys can hold the Bengals to under 20 points so they don't go all season giving up over 20. But it's the other record I'm worried more about.

No one is saying they’re a good defense. We all admit they’re bad. However the reason their numbers look like the worst of all time is because they’ve been put in horrible spots.

Only three teams have allowed 300+ so far this season:

Cowboys - 359
Lions - 328
Jets - 302

Tough to win giving up over 32 ppg in any era.
yes but my point was not about winning it was in response to how it compares to history as is the thread title

They've allowed the opponent to score at least 20 points in 11 consecutive games, a franchise record for futility. Not even the expansion Cowboys, the 1989 Cowboys, or the 2013 defense accomplished this feat.

They'll get a chance to make it 12 whenever the Ravens game is played.

This defense is bad but there is only one defense in the league that doesn’t avg giving up 19 per game or more
There is only one scoring under 19 a game
League scoring is and has Ben going up

Big Mac's defenses, under the longest-serving defensive coordinator in the NFL at the time Big Mac finally fired Dom Capers in 2018, also set A LOT of records in Green Bay while he was in charge -- and not in a good way.

The Packers' defense finished 22nd this season, the fourth time it has finished in the bottom third of the NFL in the past seven years (including a dead-last ranking in 2011). Capers hasn't finished with a top-10 defense since the Super Bowl season of 2010, when it ranked fifth. The Packers have finished outside the top 15 in the defensive rankings six of the past seven years.

Wonder how much patience Big Mac will show towards his close friend Mike Nolan?
