Dallas selected:

Jefferson over Lamb
Hurts over Diggs
Gallimore
Gabe Davis over Robinson

Wr was a need. I think we can agree JJ was the pick.

Diggs has the pedigree, size and athleticism to cover anyone. He has played very well.
If Hurts was the pick, would he have taken the QB1 job during the ankle or thumb injuries?
Would you be happier paying Hurts or Dak an albatross contract?
Team would have a hole at CB1 potentially right now. Or they would have missed on Parsons bc they would have been pressed to move up in Draft.

DT was a need. Gallimore was the pick can't really second guess this one.

Gabe Davis. This could have solved the Gallup situation completely.

You can easily 2nd guess the Gallimore pick because he is awful and might not even make the roster

I mean I guess in hindsight you can but everyone here was thrilled on the Gallimore pick and most analysts said we hit it out the park there. If he doesn't make the team that might have more to do with the talent in front of him.

Possibly, but don't discount him being played a lot out of position at NT. Might surprise people this year.

I don't see it. He traded DNP's with Hill up until they tried to trade him and cut Hill. I just dont think the Cowboys feel he is very good

Anything is possible, but I just think he is more of a flash player that doesnt have the skill sets to play either 1T or 3T consistently

As of now? I agree that may be their stance. Gonna be hard to make the team.
He will need a really strong camp as a 3T. Problem is he is such a linier athlete, that it will be hard for him to beat starter quality lineman there. He wins with straight like burst and power and he needs more than that to consistently win in that gap

Should have taken Hurts. He wins the starting job over Dak in no time.

Picking him should have been a no brainer, but we have Jerry - who doesn't have a brain

Only thing I could see negative was that they did mention him being a "straightline mover". Does he lack the agility to succeed at an NFL level? Not really sure, as it wasn't real clear. Scouts were gushing over this guy. My concern immediately was that if he was labeled a 2nd round talent, then why was he even available w/ a mid 3rd? Guys whose scouting reports read like his go in the 1st. Every time. Soooo, what's up? Whole thing just doesn't make any sense. What do other teams know that we didn't?

So, he is a straightline athlete? Lacks lateral agility?

Yes. His agilily measurables outside of his 40 and 10 yard slipt were very bad. He is kind of a weird athlete

I will say I think he may have a chance to stick because we are so thin. At 3T of we cut him we are basically looking at Golston as your 2nd 3T. Gallimore is a niche player, but his niche just might be enough. I still think he wont make the roster though

Isn't that the draft though. Late 1st rounders can go anywhere from the late 1st to the 3rd.

But yeah maybe we got it wrong there. Everyone loved him though. Maybe it's a bad fit here? Not sure.

No, not when your scouting report reads as his does/did. They go in the 1st, period. There was something wrong that other teams knew.

I think they're Fien with Golston as backup 3T for them. That's who I Think could potentially push Gallimore off the roster honestly.
