2021 expectations offense and defense

you have miles of those posts bc in the end this team has never accomplished anything. I’m saying it doesn’t matter who the team beats IF they accomplish their goals, whatever goals people have for this team.

And my point is how do they accomplish those goals without beating the better teams?

Of course it’s possible. You think you have to have a winning record vs good teams to accomplish those goals? Absolutely not.

This is where I am. I think the offense will definitely be top 10 and the defense will definitely surprise. Gregory will make the whole thing better,Nolan was terrible, a better offense will have them off the field more and playing with leads, Parsons is a beast, 9 will be on the bench, CBs will be more mature... A bunch of reasons to believe it will be much better.

It would not surprise me if the defense is better than the offense this year. I expect a top 5 defense. Last year was an aberration all around for both the offense and defense.

I would beware of those first 5 games last year and think this offense is poised for a record breaking year.
 
We've spent too much money on offense to not have high expectations there.

We've made a lot of changes on defense(we think in the right direction) but still unproven so expectations are moderate. It's like a new experimental aircraft. You have expectations that this thing could fly but it could quickly be a disaster too. We have high expectations in spots on the defense but overall the defense is expected to be average... which is far better than it was a year ago.

Special Teams... With Bones as the ST coach, we expect a good product but we won't really know until we see it on the field. We haven't see much tp tell us one way or the other. Greg the Leg hasn't kicked yet. We just hired a licker to finish the preseason.

Overall, expectations should be managed. We saw what happened last season. We thnk out team is better this year.

Aight now that's extreme. A top 5 defense? With all that youth?
 
i think people are way over rating this offense i think the defense will end up way better than last year but i still dont think they make the playoffs

What are your expectations for each unit - let’s just use PPG for both and which unit do you feel will perform better in regards to those expectations?

Expectations
Offense - top 5
Defense - around 24th (near bottom quarter)

What I think will happen
Offense - top 10
Defense - top 20

concerns: Concerned about K. Moore/not sure he can handle the expectations of this unit. Also worried about the health of the OL for a full season
I also seem to have much more confidence in Quinn that any other coach on this staff, fat mike included.

mr JBS----its just not a good look to be a "Fat Mike' as HC anymore....i think it will take a minute for our offense to click seeing how Dak has not really practiced ( timing and fast flow of game lost )...and our defense is still light

on defensive Line....good linebackers.....secondary is question mark....i see secondary improving as season progresses along with defense as whole same with offense...but offense will get better quicker....we have observed

elite teams have uncharacteristically bad games early in year ( i.e. bucs ) so we can steal one at Tampa ....and sometimes football bounces our way and we get some other close ones or outright steals....then all of a sudden

we are firing on all cylinders.....that is my most optomistic hope for our team this year....and injury bug does not ravish team like last year.....top 10 offense...between 15-20 on defense.....and then if fortunate things happen

to us and unfortunate things happen to rivals and our confidence explodes...who knows?????.....17 games ls really like 2 seasons in 1...certainly if you count post season....i think the team with best 2nd and 3rd stringers

will go a lot farther than years past....counting post season 20-21 games.....if we stay healthy....we could get to be a very scary team come post season??....but my nickname is OPTO-GORICO.....lets go total optomistic

AAAAWWWWW COWBOY ROY you said dont think we make playoffs----all the air just left my big Cowboy ballon????....Dang.......i am tired of getting jacked up for a good season only to be deeply disappointed....but i loved my big cowboy balloon nonetheless
