Cowboys the fourth biggest winner at about 14:20
Time will tell I guess but for now I feel like our front seven got a big boost plus we have a chance to add another potential starter or a security blanket in case of OT injuries in round 3.If you’re a fan of Parsons, you have to be a fan of the move. On its face, it’s a great fit and value.
It’s when I look deeper that I take issue.

What are your issues exactly?
I haven't studied the player at all. So I don't even have an opinion on him
My biggest issue is the obvious failure on draft and/or financial investments. There is NO WAY the Cowboys can get out what they’ve put into the linebacker position and that’s what pisses me off.
No question this is true. But those other 2 LBs are failed investments already.
Which is what really bothers me.
But that was an issue before the draft. I did a draft analysis and without exception every defensive position needed an upgrade.Which is what really bothers me.
I don't think it's correct to judge this pick based on that. I would argue the opposite. That it's a mistake to pass on Parsons bc you have two scrubs at LB who were big investments. But again, I don't know a lot about Parsons. I never suspected he was in play.

Just how many 1st round pick investments is enough to field a competent group? Keep throwing 1’s at it until you get it right? Sounds like a terrible plan to me, by people who don’t know what they’re doing.
Which is what really bothers me.
Parsons has the potential to be an elite MLB. As in perennial All Pro
I’m good with this pick
Good. I am legit happy for you and others who are. I wish I could feel the same way but I can’t get past the wasted resources.

Wonder who the DPR is? Him or Jaylon?
Parsons all day.
That said, I can see the coaching putting Jaylon in that role just to try and get some use out of him.
Can disguise them. One play might be Parsons next might be Jaylon. No need to lock 1 player in. Time to get creative on defenseWonder who the DPR is? Him or Jaylon?
Personally I'm not cutting Jaylon. He gets tons of criticism, and at times rightfully so, but he has been available every game after his rookie year. I get the pay but until he's upgraded no way I'm making a weakness even worstPut him on a 10 burger a day diet and make him a DE. Then cut him next year.
