Yep. College used to be 10 games. And of course, money drove them to now have 12.

It makes the games so exciting when every single one is so important and a loss in week 5 can be the difference between making the playoffs or not.

My second favorite sport is basketball. But even I can’t watch every single game because 1. There’s so many and 2. Sometimes it feels like the individual games don’t really matter especially early in the season.


On the college point you made. Back then, you had to go undefeated if you wanted a national title. There was no playoffs or anything.

so for the teams wanting a championship.... one loss and you were done.

Key word "as a fan". These players would love an extra bye week. So would the coaches. An NFL season is grueling and taxing on the body. Adding an extra game is going to water down the schedule even more. The only reason sports leagues increase the game is for revenue and money. Every single league could do its product a favor and scale back the season.

Well that is why I made a point saying as a fan it sucks

Oh Comon, the first two not that bad. Vs Tampa on the road on a Thursday then Chargers at home on a Sunday afternoon. Third game at home on a Monday night.

well thats how it works. nevertheless we have that same issue this year.if the defense has improved and the offense holds onto the ball (zeke! Dak!)we can compete with anyone. The health of the offensive line will go a long way in determining our fate
