2021 Season Schedule Speculation

Cowboys at Chargers Week 1 is a real longshot. Would Fox be happy with this assuming it's not Dallas at Tampa? Would be a great test on the road against what could be a top defensive unit.

The opening game on Thursday is approaching its 20th season this year. Crazy to think it’s that old, it’s a tradition now. In the previous 19 games, Dallas wasn’t involved in 18 of them. Not after you went 13-3 in 2016, not after 12-4 in 2014, not even after 2007 when you went 13-3 and NYG won the SB. They didn’t even give to you then. Imagine a NYG/DAL opening game with 2 of the best teams in the league... NFL said not the best option. You did it once in 2012 as a poor man’s rematch to that 2007 possibility after NYG’s 2011 win.

Once in 20 years. But now that Dallas went 6-10, they’re the only obvious option to put in the game because the league is dying to pull the Dallas card on a losing season despite never doing it before?

The saints won the Bucs division and have been a powerhouse the last decade. They looked as good without Brees the last couple years as they have with him. That’s game A. The Bills are coming off an AFCCG appearance, that’s game B. Are the Cowboys even a better choice than Tua and the 9-7 Dolphins? Not if they don’t pull the Dallas card, which they haven’t.

6 of the last 9 years you opened against the Giants, and 5 of those 6 has been in Jerry world, with the last few on SNF. That’s my guess

Why the hell should the Cowboys get the honor playing the champs opening night? They should be in the one o'clock time slot each and every week until they prove that they belong with the big dogs!

Good research.

Let's play a game! Who can get the closest to predicting the 2021 schedule for the Cowboys? Also, predict the Network for the games.

My prediction:
Week 1: Dallas Cowboys @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Thursday Night on NBC)

Week 2: NY Giants @ Dallas Cowboys (Sunday FOX 3:25 pm)

Week 3: Dallas Cowboys @ LA Chargers (FOX 3:25)

* Means could be flexed.

Your schedule makes a lot of sense. I think you will nail a few here

People love seeing the cowboys get beat down thats why they still get 5 primetime games a year when in all actuality all 17 games should be at 1pm..

Hasn't the schedule leaked somewhere already? I'm pretty sure we open Thursday 9 Sept 2021 at Tampa Bay.

I could see this. I think we'll probably end up playing Denver on Thanksgiving because we've had classic Thanksgiving clashes with the Broncos, and they happen to be in Dallas this season. Thus, I'd imagine they'll have us against them for TDay. Sorta like how they like having us play Miami on Thanksgiving.

I think we open against bucs. It’s appropriate. Dak back. New look defense with Quinn going against Brady again. The champs vs cowboys. Ratings grab right there
Yes that is why I had TB as game 1 with dallas, for the best ratings it should be game 1.
But they usually have SB winner play SB opponent or one of the champ game teams.

Looking like Dallas vs Bucs like he said

As always, we will open with the giants.
We will close the season against WFT
