2025-26 NBA Season

Hey I like this as a NBA fan. Turn Fox into Jaylen Brown?
As a Celtics I hate it lol.

Much rather him in Atlanta.

I dont know if Fox is considered a negative asset right now, but he probably will be eventually. He is not a max contract player. He is a nice player, but if your defense and shooting range from mediocre to below average you arent a cornerstone

This is a great package for Boston. Biggest downside is sending Brown to SA. And thats a big downside. However, only giving up the current #1 leaves them with a alot of resources to reshape the team around Giannis and Tatum. As a non tax team, they have a ton of flexibility too

Brown would be a great add for the Spurs. Two finals runs, a finals MVP and 142 playoff games with an 83-59 record in those games. Not a guy I want to play against in the finals
I think SA makes out like bandits. Turning Fox and late 1sts (which aren’t much) into Brown, who can be a legitimate 1A scorer type to pair with Wemby is a huge upgrade.

Brown and a late 1st for Giannis makes sense if Giannis can remain healthy. But I’m curious to see how Tatum/Giannis mix.

For Milwaukee - 5 late firsts and a bad contract for a rebuilding team to have on their books for 4 years? I don’t see the appeal. At all.

My big question is there does Giannis play. I think he was primary a 5 last year, but he is more of a SF. Mazulla is very 3 ball intensive, and thats not Giannis. Another question is what does the roster look when the dust settles. They will likely add another major peice, whether they add Giannis or keep Brown.

My two big concerns with Giannis are durability and FT shooting. He is a better player than Brown, but due to effectiveness of hacking Giannis late Id rather have Brown during the last 20 seconds of games

I think ultimately Milwaukee would reroute Fox. I dont see the point of him playing there for either team. I just dont know what they would get for him. I think he is a good 3rd option. And could be really good in in an up temp offense. But that contract in unattractive for the player he is

Also would it be 5 late 1st's? Does SA still have Atl picks or swaps that could attractive?

Further proof you have no idea what you are talking about.

Lesson learned.
Further proof you lack comprehension….i verbatim said this “Oh I’m not familiar with the new regime I’m just going by based on what I’ve seen from them the last 20 years.”

Verbatim told you I don’t know nothing about AKME and the regime I’m basing it on what I’ve seen from them the last 20 years….

But you wanted your “gotcha!” moment so I let you have it.

I think Giannis plays small ball 5 or a 4. He’s not a traditional 4/5. He’s best with the ball in his hands and getting downhill or facilitating. Brown and Tatum could take turns doing that because each could shoot from the outside.

It’s an interesting pairing because for it to work, Tatum has to be more off ball. How’s Tatum as a passer? Admittedly, I don’t watch the Celtics often. And I’m still butthurt over the 2009 Celtics/Bulls series….

But Giannis can crash and roll to the basket if Tatum is a good passer.

Idk. I’m honestly just fascinated with the idea of watching them play together. I think it could work well.

The gotcha was about your examples. AKME was part of the past 20 years. I’m not “gotcha-ing” on this regime because no one has a clue. It just started.

It was your comment about the last 20 years and the example you provided.

And truly - the best example you could have used was Vucevic. Because he was traded for picks and actually fits your narrative, but you went with nonsense. Wallace was an NBA champion. Lavine was a young asset the Bulls traded Butler for - he was on his rookie contract. Wade was a one year deal on a smaller contract in hopes of pairing with a veteran Rondo and an emerging Butler to try a last gasp effort post Rose. None of this fits your criteria. DeRozen was to pair with Ball and Lavine and was a successful trio until Ball got hurt. It was short lived. Your examples are truly terrible. I forgot who else you mentioned. But I’m not scrolling back to see.

Last reply on the topic because it’s not worth the time.

Tatum has grown alot as a facilitator, particularly if defenses over focus. That was a big part of his game in the finals when Dallas focused on stopping him

I understand what you were doing lol. When you asked me to name moves from the last 20 years not involving AKME regime I knew what the play was and went with it lol.

It’s like someone saying the Mavs will probably trade Flagg away for nothing. Despite a new front office it’s still the Mavs so I understand the sentiment.

You were thinking too deep into my comment. My comment was strictly about the Bulls getting players to lead their team who are 2 or 3rd options. Whether it was trade or free agency. It wasn’t meant to make parallels to Fox or whoever.
