2025-26 NBA Season

Fun series. Did not see anyone challenging the Thunder this quickly in the West.
Me either I knew Spurs would eventually get there but they are here now. Kind of scary when you see how young guys like Castle, Bryant and Harper are. Then there’s that 7’6 guy who is doing dribbling drills with Jamal Crawford lol. Unbelievable.

If you're the Mavs you need to at least see what offers are out there. They can always refuse if needed.
I’m fine with that. I’m more so speaking on what deals they accept. I just don’t see how he has much value right now.

Agreed. I mainly give the Spurs a hard time to irritate that poster. Lol. I like all of the other Spurs fans here and have no hostilities against them.

I am going for OKC, but I don’t have anything against the Spurs. They are a good team and Wemby is beyond phenomenal. I am still not overly impressed with the Spurs other players although they certainly do great things here and there. Castle is still way too sloppy with the ball. Even with that, the Spurs are still definitely good enough to win a championship because of Wemby.
I didn’t until this series. Harper and Castle are gonna be stars. Not yet but soon. And Bryant is going to be incredible too.

If I can compare both teams….Spurs are looking for a certain type of player in the draft. High upside on both sides of the ball. Thunder go out and get it. You scratch your head on why they do it but then seen it come to fruition.

PJ probably has the best current value for the Mavs. I wouldn't be to surprised to see him moved. He also plays the same position as Cooper

I’d say Pj or Naji. Naji is so cheap it would be tough for me to move off him I need a good pick. Pj represents what the new nba player is I see a role for him but if it’s about getting capital I can see them moving him. I’d move one of Lively or Gafford. Whoever has the more value.

One thing I hate about the NBA Playoffs is injuries make or break you. Even the NFL with all its injuries, teams still go on to win the Super Bowl without their starting QB. The news that Fox was out in Game 1 shocked me. Didn't see that one coming, last I heard on a press conference, Fox said he was good to go. Good hide by CIA Coach Mitch, I was as surprised as OKC. So was bummed to start Game 1 with us basically losing our #2 option and OKC getting there's back in Jalen Williams. OKC was still rusty from the break though and Spurs stole one in OKC.

But then losing Harper, who basically is our 6th Man of the Year now, just too much to overcome. No disrespect to KJ, both him and Devin Vassell are all that's left of that rebuild attempt by Popovich before blowing it up again with Wemby, and have been key all year and in this series had some good games... but Harper has been our energy changer and 6th Man probably the last 2 months as the rookie has quickly grown into the game.

Castle has always been a Turnover Machine. Go look at the box scores all year. Not unusual at all to see 6-8 TO games, but the Spurs still won. He has a lot of the Ginobilli in him which is 'live by the Ginobilli, die by the Ginobilli." Exciting player, clutch, but just needs to crank it down a notch sometimes because he gets too wild.

Game 2 was still within reach the entire time for the Spurs, just couldn't do it without 2 of their best offensive threats and Castle constantly throwing the ball away. Have to remember though that the Spurs are a very young team. Yes, Castle needs to tone it down, but this entire Playoffs they've all had some wild turnovers, including Wemby.

Speaking of Wemby, looks like the NBA has brought back Hack-A-Shaq. Jeez, I was watching one of his press conferences and had scratches and claw marks all over his body. LOL. Well, he wants to be Hakeem and take it personal that the other guy got his MVP, more power to him, but now you really got to prove it with those guys out. Good news is it looks like Jalen Williams is even more banged up than Fox and Harper and may be out again. OKC was losing players too in Game 2. These teams are going to beat the crap out of each other and the remnants limp into a loss to the Knicks in the NBA Finals. LOL

I posted a good article somewhere in this thread from ESPN about the whole situation. It really was a dysfunctional top office with everyone, including Mark Cuban, who needs to also get out of the picture if they want to truly fix things.

Any injury updates on Fox and Harper and what their availability will be for Friday night‘s game?
