If Dallas isnt rebuilding, then they arent serious. They need as many assets as they can get. Guys like Irving, Gafford, Washington, and Marshall dont mean much to the Mav future if they actually want to compete for titles with Flagg

You don't trade assets for 80% of their value just to get rid of them.
Especially with the new anti-tanking rules. Racing to the bottom isn't helpful.

Dallas should "consider" moving both guys but for future 1sts; not known outside the top 20 picks and guys who can't be in the rotation for a playoff team.
Kyrie will likely have more value at the trade deadline once he has returned.
Gafford is a legit 2-way Center and it is a position Dallas spent decades between properly filling. Having Tyson Chandler then Gafford play at a high level also saw them make deep playoff runs those seasons. You aren't trading him for overpaid offal. With Lively battlign injury you definitely should wait on the trade deadline if you can't get a better5 deal.

Dallas SHOULD actually move 1 or 2 of the wing collective. They have wings who need to vacate because Cooper will get 35+ minutes a night.
PJ Washington for 25 and Dalton Knecht? Might have to do that.

I agree with all this except Knecht. He’s cooked. He’s lost confidence and id never trade for a guy like that.

Spurs fans I was wrong. I will say they did miss Ajay and J Dub but for been bragging about their depth so can’t use injuries as an excuse. Going to OKC and playing this well and getting hit with adversity and over coming it in a hostile environment……props to them.
