I think he has more upside than quite a few people I'd name, I just don't think he's better than a hand full of guys who had a bad post season that I assume you'd push back on.

Like Randle and Fox are better

Flagg will past them, I don't know when, but he hasn't yet.

Same for other players like LeMelo Ball who I wouldn't want on my team per se, but at this point, Flagg hasn't passed them

Damn….Lamelo I get. Fox and Randle are a stretch. I might overrate Flagg he’s still only 19 so I get not rushing putting him top 20 and maybe im biased just seeing how poor Randle and Fox ended their season…..

I'm aware he broke a few youngest to do x, y or z records

I just don't put much stock in those

When you have a lot of talent and you enter the league younger than others... you tend to break those records

He broke mostly Lebron's records. That's pretty telling.

fwiw... the original record, youngest with 45 wasn't a Lebron record

It was 0x NBA All Star Cliff Robinson who scored 45 around the time he turned 20

And I'm not saying I expect the same career trajectory for Flagg

Brandon Jennings was a great young player until the injury. But I don’t like this. I don’t like using players to devalue others. Tony Delk scored 50 points but that doesn’t devalue a guy scoring 50.

Great is a huge stretch.

He had 2 years he shot above 40% from the field. One of those two years was 40.1%. His defense centered around going for the steal.

Naw I’m talking about high school Brandon Jennings that entered the NBA. He had great potential.

When he didn’t got on college he lowered his value. If he would’ve came into the draft out of high school or even gone to college he’s a top 3 pick. First few years he wasn’t the guy we know him as today.

This is the pick I’ve said I wanted when Dallas was slotted at 9 and I thought yes this a big G who can bring the ball up shoot and help get Flagg in the front court getting him the ball . The pick this team needs .

And another note I’m sorry but Cuban saying “ we didn’t see Brunson becoming what he is “ when the Mavericks let him walk was pure stupidity . I’m glad he’s gone from any decision making anymore in Dallas and maybe with a Flagg and now a Burries at G after the draft hopefully this franchise can start climbing out of Wasteland .

When you can’t even make the playoffs it’s disgraceful. Imagine if Jerry had let an obvious talent back then like Brunson and then Luka go OMG people would be screaming for Jerry to retire .

I have no issue getting rid of guys. That’s a part of the game .

Not getting anything for those guys is what was criminal. And in hindsight getting rid of Luka wouldn’t hurt as bad if they did it and had Brunson long term. I know I’m in the minority there because people love Luka. But I respected having the foresight that a Luka led team is probably not gonna win a championship. We could’ve had so many draft picks at our disposal.
