Only problem is 2023-24 was the last time he was "on" often enough to somewhat excuse his poor defense and a multi-year contract with a player option. He was sitting at home and coming off a season of career lows in FG%, 3P%, PPG, RPG and MPG until Nico called. The fact that he's choosing to opt-in at 6M speaks volumes asto what his camp is hearing about what his prospects would be as a potential free agent.

I remember when we signed D Lo the thought was he’d be a 2nd or 3rd string player. You can do worse there.

Utah really should draft Boozer 2nd.

JJJ/Boozer/Markennan/Bailey/George looks impressive as a core.

Boozer will not be an elite weak side defender, but he will be a solid positional defender. He tested out better than most expected. He’s going to be a very productive pro.
