I think its a good high ceiling move for the Mavs. Mavs have been emphasizing player development with their coach hires, and Risacher could blossom with Flagg. Mavs wont have access to high picks for a while, and buying low in a former 1st overall is a good way to mitigate that
Risacher strikes me as a guy that was overdrafted due to a poor draft class. That doesn't mean he's not talented. Unfortunately, when you're taken that high (no. 1 overall), it comes with expectations of a franchise player. He may not be that guy, but it doesn't mean he can't contribute and be a quality player.
I never saw him as a guy that will do much in iso deep into the clock. Being #1 pick, alot of times they want you to do that. He wont have to do that is Dallas, and he'll be able to feed of Coopers action. I think Dallas has a really solid offseason. They added some nice peice to grow with Flagg. I think the real noise for them is going to be close to the last year of Coopers rookie contract. I think they get aggressive then and add major pieces for deep runs
