it matters not this is a jerry and steven train wreck and nothing anybody at this point can change unless this ownership can shut there mouth and stay up where they belong and stay out of the draft room and have the adults picking and let the jones pick there noses and keep quit quiet that's not gonna happen since the new al davis is here so get ready for more bs from them and more losing

Doesn't matter who we want. Which coach just wants to sit back and collect a paycheck for being one of the least paid coaches in the NFL? That's who Jerry will hire. Making average players the highest paid guys in the NFL but is super cheap wen it comes to staff, that's billionair owner Jerry jones.

If and a big If...... The Cowboys move on to a new head coach. Who is going to get the job?

Ben Johnson
Deion Sanders
Bill Belicheck
Eric Bienemy
Kliff Kingsbury
Lincoln Riley
Vance Joseph
Dabo Sweeney
Nick Saban
Todd Monken
Joe Brady

These are just some of the big splash moves that JJ likes, however there are many more options.

Who do you think?
Jason Witten should be brought in to be the next HC.

Now eliminate anyone that will want personnel control
Now eliminate anyone that will want to set the tone and make it about football 100% of the time. No player podcasts, no tours etc.

Same, though i think I'd prefer it if he got his start in Detroit so that he can learn the Campbell system
Campbell doesn't have a system, he has an attitude.

He also has a GM who absolutely stacked his team, both sides of the ball, in addition to two top coordinators one of whom (Johnson) is the most coveted coach in the league.

Well, that attitude is needed here too.

There is a reason I want bellicheck. Instant credibility. The players would also know the clown show is over. This team would be disciplined and fundamentally sound.

Ppl can talk about his last year without Brady… but BB didn’t have any talent on that pats roster. We have something to build with.

He and whoever he brings in can get the most out of dak…. Get a rb that gets the run game going. Devise a scheme that gives offenses fits.

We still have talent on this roster. I want the guy that’s don’t it before and wants to still coach

Belichek was in total charge and control of trying to bring in the talent on that Pats roster team - whatever " GM" they supposed had
was in title alone.

- The years leading up to Tom Brady's departure ...was due to HC Belichek. Belly was reportedly bumping major heads with GOAT, so
incredibly, Belichek force the GOAT outta New England... Nobody could imagine that would never happened. It did.

- Then the owner of NE Pats himself could not endure Belichek's ego and arrogance any longer either.....thus Bellly was ousted out
even after all of those SB trophies.

- It wasn't talent of lack of that forced the Belly era to be finished in NE .. it was Belly's arrogance that ran off greatest QB in NFL history , his failure to add talent per draft- FA- trade- and lack of ability to find a competent offensive play caller that all combined to his decline and eventual doom

Imo, Campbell has BOTH System PLUS attitude.. There's an Identity with the Lions.
And that's both at home and on the Road

He has imposed elements as a HC, and in his coaching staff on both sides of the ball.
His coordinators (and asst coaches) have emerged as top of the ranks in the NFL, primarily in OC Ben Johnson and DC Arron Glenn.

If he can avoid the over-aggressive, trick em play and questionable decisions in final moments of critical games- (and luckily to avoid key injuries).. he's gonna advance that team to a SB appearance.

You're absolutely right. - More so Campbell has and is backed by a terrific front office management team.
One that not only sought and hired Campbell himself, ...but they have and are constantly building, upgrading that team roster on player personnel , on every level of player acquisition .

Some things to realize regarding any head coaching candidate in Dallas:
  • HCs here are not picked based on who gives us the best chance to win. They are picked based on who makes Jerry Jones feel comfortable.
  • Unlike 31 other NFL franchises, HCs in Dallas are essentially held accountable for the failures of the front office.
  • Unlike 31 other NFL franchises, the HC in Dallas is not in charge of the locker room.
Until all three of the above bullet points change, it’s just fan speculative fan fun to even act like a head coach makes a difference in Dallas.

Speculation fuels the PT Barnum Booger and clown company show. It brings the media. It creates drama. Booger loves it.

He knows the media is trying to get some idea of what he's thinking. And he'll say a lot but you can't trust anything he says.

It's very possible he does bring back Big Mac if he fails to make a deal with his choice.

And we'll never know who says no when he works under the table.

Still he's going to milk this decision for every camera appearance he can get.
