Everybody gets in now. Ricky waters? Seriously? Fred taylor? It used to mean something to be elected into the Hall of Fame and now it means almost nothing.
Technically neither of those players are "in" the HOF...they are just semifinalist. Now if they become finalist, you have the right to gripe.

Monster class. There will be a lot of guys on here who have to wait.

My best guess at your HOF class this year...

Eli, because God hates me. Rivers and Romo were consistently better QBs during Eli's same era and neither one will ever sniff the Hall.
Kuechly, because All-Decade Team and 7x All-Pro.
Vinatieri, because "story of the game".
Gates, because All-Decade Team and 6x All-Pro
Yanda, because All-Decade Team and 7x All-Pro.

Suggs will probably get in eventually with 139 career sacks, but he may have to wait a year or two.

Jared Allen should get in, but he's a tough sell because he wasn't All-Decade Team and doesn't have huge volume stats. One of the scariest defenders in the league for like a 5 year stretch though. In my mind, he's deserving.

Reggie Wayne will get slapped with the "compiler" label, because he was never All-Decade and only made First Team All-Pro once. He was no Frank Gore though, he one of the best WRs in the league for like 10 years, and IMO he's totally deserving of a gold jacket. But he's not an easy sell to a HOF committee facing a logjam at WR.

If I recall correctly, Woodson is the only Ring of Honor member not in the HOF. I sure hope he can get in. If not this year, then next.

Amending my last post... I looked up Jared Allen, and he had 136 career sacks. Holy...

He had 89 sacks in 6 years with the Vikings, but I didn't realize that he also had 43 sacks in his first 4 years in Kansas City. I thought he was a late bloomer... nope.

agree with your takes. No way Eli should EVER get in and hopefully the NY and East coast press is not enough to do it.
I do not think Vini will get in for a while because he is a kicker; no one was more clutch but that is the way it is

Allen should get in; but not a first ballot guy.
All decade team with a minimum of six ALL PROs should get in first ballot

Would like to see Woodson and Kuechly go in this year.

Was always a Jared Allen fan too for no particular reason.

I think it'll be either or for Suggs and Allen.

Doubt both go in for the same class.

Oh, NOW you move the goal posts. There have been three QBs put in the HOF since 2000 that did not win a SB

And the so called different era garbage is just a cop out
Who is it? I’m sorry but Dak isn’t a hall of famer and Romo wasn’t. Sorry.

So was Marion Barber and I don't see him there. Just because you're a good player doesn't mean you get into the Hall of fame.
I loved Barber but he did not have the resume Taylor and Waters had. He ended his career with 4700 yards.

Seriously? Fred Taylor was always hurt.

They don't even need to be nominated. At this point the Hall of Fame is becoming a participation trophy award. It should be reserved for the best of the best, not the really good. It's ridiculous.
153 games is a lot but you are right he had a few seasons where he got hurt.

Don't disagree....and I think the HOFers should have a vote....not sure if that's in place yet.
