2025 NFL Calendar: Trade deadline, other key dates to mark down for Cowboys

Summer and fall posted below. Winter and spring can be seen following the link. Obviously August 26th and 27th are biggies for each team.

Summer:​

• July 31: Hall of Fame Game - Chargers v. Lions (Canton, OH)
• August 26: Deadline to reduce rosters to 53 players
• August 27: Deadline for waiver claims on players released in final cuts
• August 27: Clubs can begin forming 17-man practice squad

Fall:​

• September 1: Clubs must begin filing injury, practice reports
• September 4-5, 7-8: Kickoff weekend
• October 21-22: Fall league meeting
• Nov. 4: Trade deadline

Hmmm. November 4th trade deadline. Dallas plays on the 3rd. And goes into the bye week.

We will see how they are doing, as to making a trade for a player(s) if winning, and can improve.
Or if losing, trading away player(s) to get draft picks for 2026.

I really don't want to get rid of him, because I was excited as hell when we got him. I just want him to be as dominant as we know he can be. He's close, but there's more to see my friend

Good question. I'm not sure anyone can answer that right now. All I know is that all signs point to Jerry's distrust of him and his deep-in-the-doghouse attitude. But in my opinion, his injury is the only reason he's still on the team.

I want to know what's his issue in having the attitude etc, is it because they're mad he's not training with their training staff here in texas? Maybe he was one of the guys that gave the training staff a bad review

* Jerry suggested Diggs didn't follow the team treatment plan for rehabbing his 2023 ACL injury
* Jerry thinks his current injury was avoidable if he had done what the trainers required
* Diggs is working on his current injury NOT in Dallas but down in Miami. ( Word is he's lost confidence in the Cowboys' training staff. He thinks they botched the 2023 treatment plan)
* Bottom line....it appears the trust between both is broken.
* This is why I don't see Jerry allowing him on the field once he has medical clearance. Taking a chance on him getting injured again and being stuck with the rest of his contract.
* I see this ending very similar to Cooper and Dez's divorce. In other words, they may try to trade him, but if they can't, they will just release him.

If he doesn’t have Jerry’s backing, he’ll be gone soon. We know how Jerry loves his players and especially the stars and does all he can to make them happy. Many times too much. So to have the wrath of Jerry is not a good sign for Diggs. His days are numbered.
