2026 - 2027 Draft Picks 12 and 20

Need another LB and some pass rushing help as well. Merry Christmas!
That is exactly right, and it should be relatively easy between the draft and free agency to find a good DE and LB. With the right moves made Dallas could easily and quickly improve this defense.

Packers Clinched Wild Card

Pick can not improve beyond #21

Remaining Games

  • Week 17 - vs Ravens

If Packers Win Out
  • Can win the division with two Bears losses)

This Week
  • Root for the Packers to lose or the Bears to win

This is correctamundo.

The question is, what will Jerry do?
Dallas has to hit on all these offseason moves, with one offensive player and the rest all defense in my mind. That one offensive player being an offensive tackle. The two first round picks I feel needs to be a jack of all trades linebacker, a player athletic enough to rush the passer make tackles near the line of scrimmage and cover running backs and tight ends. The other first round pick needs to be the best safety available, paired with Minkah Fitzpatrick in free agency this is my idea to help this team improve quickly. Dallas needs a defensive end as well but this position needs to be a free agent veteran. How ever Dallas gets them, be it free agency or the draft LB S DE OT CB. These players need to be extended George Pickens, Kenny Clark, Jadeveon Clowney and Javonte Williams. It would not hurt my feelings one bit if that free agent DE is one Maxx Crosby either. With this haul look for Dallas to return to the playoffs next season.

Eliminated from Division race

If the Packers lose in the first round of the playoffs, their pick will be either #21 or #22.

Remaining Game
  • Week 18 - @ Vikings
This Week
  • Root for the Steelers to win (currently 9-6)
  • If the Steelers finish with a better regular season record than the Packers (9-6-1) and both teams lose in the wild card round, the Packers will have the #21 pick overall.
  • If the Packers advance to the divisional round, their pick will be no worse than #25

By the way, that second 5th round comp pick for Tank *just* went green this week when Rico got his sixth TD and qualified himself for his escalator clause.

Thanks Rico!!!

Thanks for the great research . I hope Jerry doesn’t start screwing around in round one start trading down . Dallas needs a starting LB and a starting player in the secondary either corner or safety with these 2 picks .

And I like having a 4th again and three 5th rounders . This defense needs a complete make over of young talent

21 or 22 isn't too bad from the Packers. They won't make it anywhere in the playoffs. Certainly expected a lot worse (like 28) when we traded with them.

Good to know. I have not checked for a while to see if anything changed.

Now root for the Ravens.

If/when the 'Boys lose Pickens would they get a 3rd round compensatory pick?

It depends

If you lose more free agents than you acquire then you get a compensatory pick.

In any event, it wouldn’t be until 2027

Jerry seems to like those comp picks doesn't he? We never sign no one lol

Pretty sure Dante Moore and Fernando will go 1-2 Just hope another QB comes in and wow's some team and it would be nice if another team reached where we could drop a few spots and pick up a day two pick.

Let’s hope somehow Carolina can beat the Rams and GB loses. We would have the 19th pick.

Cowboys #12
Cowboys #20

2026
  • 1st Round: Cowboys
  • 1st Round: (via Green Bay)
  • 2nd Round: New York Jets (Quinnen Williams)
  • 3rd Round: Pittsburgh Steelers (George Pickens)
  • 4th Round: Cowboys
  • 5th Round: Cowboys
  • 5th Round: Comp pick for Jourdan Lewis
  • 5th Round: Comp pick for DeMarcus Lawrence
  • 6th Round: New York Giants (Jordan Phillips)
  • 7th Round: (NYG w/ Jordan Phillips) to Cincinnati (Logan Wilson)
  • 7th Round: Buffalo Bills (Kaiir Elam)
  • 7th Round: Kansas City (Peyton Hendershot)

2027
  • 1st Round: ONE OF their own or Green Bay's pick - the better pick goes to NYJ (Quennin Williams)
  • 2nd Round - Cowboys
  • 3rd Round - Cowboys
  • 4th Round - Cowboys
  • 5th Round - Steelers (Pickens)
  • 6th Round - Cowboys
  • 6th Round - Steelers (Pickens)
  • 7th Round - Cowboys
Per the trade value chart, the Cowboys could theoretically trade the #20 pick (850 pts) to Arizona for the 2nd overall pick in round 2 (pick 34 - 560 pts), and the top pick in round 3 (pick 65 - 265 pts), giving them 3 of the top 65 picks in the draft, plus their 6th round pick (186th pick - 17 pts). This would be a trade of 850 pts (#20 pick) to Arizona for their 2nd, 3rd, and 6th round picks (#34, #65, #186) which adds up to 842 points.

This would give the Cowboys picks in every round and multiple picks in rounds 5 and 7 - a Total of 10 picks.
