2026 - 2027 Draft Picks 12 and 20

Per the trade value chart, the Cowboys could theoretically trade the #20 pick (850 pts) to Arizona for the 2nd overall pick in round 2 (pick 34 - 560 pts), and the top pick in round 3 (pick 65 - 265 pts), giving them 3 of the top 65 picks in the draft, plus their 6th round pick (186th pick - 17 pts). This would be a trade of 850 pts (#20 pick) to Arizona for their 2nd, 3rd, and 6th round picks (#34, #65, #186) which adds up to 842 points.

This would give the Cowboys picks in every round and multiple picks in rounds 5 and 7 - a Total of 10 picks.
would be a great draft day scenario.

I don't like this.....I LOVE this. But it still isn't enough picks. They need more!

Dallas has to hit on all these offseason moves, with one offensive player and the rest all defense in my mind. That one offensive player being an offensive tackle. The two first round picks I feel needs to be a jack of all trades linebacker, a player athletic enough to rush the passer make tackles near the line of scrimmage and cover running backs and tight ends. The other first round pick needs to be the best safety available, paired with Minkah Fitzpatrick in free agency this is my idea to help this team improve quickly. Dallas needs a defensive end as well but this position needs to be a free agent veteran. How ever Dallas gets them, be it free agency or the draft LB S DE OT CB. These players need to be extended George Pickens, Kenny Clark, Jadeveon Clowney and Javonte Williams. It would not hurt my feelings one bit if that free agent DE is one Maxx Crosby either. With this haul look for Dallas to return to the playoffs next season.
Drafting a safety in the first is highly unlikely, unless we trade up or down. Downs is likely gone by 12 and nobody left is worth an early twenty's first round pick via GB.

Your description of the "Jack of all trades LB" has Sonny Styles written all over it. A converted safety that can cover anything short of a fast WR yet can go sideline to sideline to make athletic plays in the run game. He can put some serious heat on the passer as well. His instincts are average, however, hopefully due to his lack of reps at LB.

Although LB isn't a premium position like edge or corner, I wouldn't be upset with Styes at 12, (Unless Downs, Bailey, Bain etc are available) although I'd be elated to get him with the 20s something GB pick. I'm dreaming of a Bailey and Styles combo but will probably end up with McCoy CB and Proctor OT. You know how much we like injured players and OTs.

Sounds good to me!

The Cards need two o-linemen and maybe an edge so their moves will be based on what’s available at a specific spot.

If there is nothing at 20-21 that they fear winter there at their next pick, maybe they bite.

My concern is that in a draft like this there will be multiple teams looking to move down

Would it be possible to use our 2 1st Rd picks to move up (and help get the Edge/Defensive piece we really want) and also get a 2nd and 3rd, with us getting a 'feature piece' and also decent quantity to improve the defensive floor?
If KC are serious about a TE, would they think 9th is too early to take Sadiq?
Would NO look to move down, assuming that they'd possibly look at 2026 as a Shough 'show us' season? If we're able to trade our second 1st Rd pick in 2027, im sure the Saints would be interested, just in case they need to draft Shough's replacement?

I think we have way too many holes and too few picks to even consider moving up.

We need five or six quality defensive starters and trading down, if we find a partner, is the best idea.

Now, if Downs slides to 12, then sure, take him, but that second first would be better used to pick up an extra pick

I’m sorry but I don’t care about not having 2nd and 3rd rounders. I don’t get fans obsession I don’t know if they just want to use a more pleasurable draft experience with a pick in every round or what. But the Cowboys have two picks in the top 20. You need defensive players. Cowboys please don’t get cute. Please keep those picks.

day 1 needs to be glorious! quality is better than quantity.... get the other holes filled in FA!!!!

With the Packers loss, are now locked in with our own pick at #12 and the Packers pick at #20

I understand the argument to trade out and get more picks but I would rather use both picks to get the best possible players we can for this defense. If we can trade down a spot or two and get another pick, I most likely would be ok with that, depending on who is there. But I am not looking to drop to the bottom of or out of the first rd.

WE need impact starters not just fill needs with solid players.

The names that seem most prominent in recent mock drafts is LB Sonny Styles and CB Jermod McCoy.

Styles is all over the place on analyst's draft charts so I don't know what to make of that.

McCoy seems like the perfect fit. He missed all of last season with an MCL injury and it is the same story.....

"He'd be a top five pick if he didn't......"

That practically makes him a lock.

So here is a question for the "value" guys with all your mathmagic.......What is the "pick" value of trading the #12 and #20 as a package?

I'm thinking it would be a little over the 4th overall pick with enough change for them to throw in a 3rd rounder.

I'm just thinking........

The issues, as are being identified over the last could of days is that the true 1st Rd Players (well those that provide flex and pass-rushing abilities: - Bain, Downs. Baily and Reese are probably gone at 12. If we dont get top level pass-rush in FA then yes, in my opinion we could well package.

The problem is I doubt a team is going to draft down if its got the chance of getting Reece, however, a conceivable trade would be with the Saints

NO Get

- 12th overall
- 20th overall
-178th (rd 5)

We get:
-8th overall
- 42nd (rd 2)
-73rd (rd 3)

Im sure the Saints would consider capital, indeed would love 2027 pics as I bet 2026 will be a Show-Me year for Shough and they'll move quickly to another QB in 2027 if he fails.
