2026 NFL Combine

There is a less than 10% chance the Cowboys don't take a cornerback in the 1st round.

Unless they go out and sign Woolen or something like that.
I think it was Fisher pitching Nashon Wright. How messed up would it be if our first big ticket FA signing in generations is a guy we traded for scaps

feels like it would be like signing Dante Fowler again. I can’t see them spending big on Wright. But you never know.

He is better than he was here, but still not very good. Had 5 ints, but gave up 7 TD's. I think he will get a nice contract based on his TO production. But he is still really a just below average starter

Yeah I saw some of his games in Chicago he looked decent to me especially for feeling in when their starters were hurt. I’m alwuss gonna have that “what can Parker” when it comes to a young corner. Right or wrong. He may need a Surtain level talent to get the best of or a Mitchell or DeJean.

Not against it but if we are bargain bin shopping then not opposed to it. I’d rather look elsewhere. Not sure how much better he is then Carson or Revel honestly.

If we dont get Delane at 12 then i am ok.......
Doesnt the height/wingspan/size Combine measurements coupled with him not running (when his speed is already being questioned) ring alarm bells? He is not a lockdown CB and in any decent draft he'd be 20+, certainly not a potential 12.

Hard to tell what Carson and Revel are really. Revel is more talented, but we dont know anything about him yet. Carson has the talent to be a decent 2nd or good 3rd CB, but he hasn't shown it and cant stay healthy

Wright might be a product of Harris. Remember Harris is in Chicago. Harris really emphasizes TO's and knows how to create. That was rights major contribution to them last year. Can he do that without Harris? I dont think Harris and Parker coach the same techniques

He’s a safety and can have that and still be a serious overreach at 12. He’s a reach at 20.

On the consensus big board (average of 100 established mocks), he’s 36. The highest he’s slotted on any of the mocks are the Vikings at 18. After that, the Bears might consider him at 25.

That’s pretty much it for the first round.

With our needs elsewhere, thr only safety we will consider in the first round is Downs.
That is his draft nick rating. I bet the NFL scouts have Dillon much higher. NFL defenses have changed. Bad safety/nickel cornerback play can kill your defense. Thieneman has the ability to change our defense like Styles or a pass rusher in this draft.

he was lockdown last season and he has good instincts and can play both Man and Zone,we will see how he runs in LSU pro day.

Are you talking about Delane?

If so, he was absolutely shutdown last year.

After 2 days of workouts, my “wish list” (if no trade backs) of
12) Sonny Styles
20) Dillon Thieneman
112) Tacario Davis or Jalon Kilgore
is a TOTAL pipe dream now…

Yeah I think OL is going to be the make or break on who’s available at 12. There’s really no true “franchise” type LT in this draft, but OL is also always a need so who knows. More than 1 OL going top 11 is going to be ideal for the Cowboys…along with Love
The fact that Mauigoa played RT in college is limiting his draft media ranking (in my opinion).
- I watched all of his snaps in a few games and he was often as close to a perfect game as you'll see.

RB
Claiborne 4.37
Heidenreich 4.45
Henry Jr. 4.53
Johnson 4.57
Love 4.36
McGowan 4.50
Miller 4.43
Price 4.50
Randall 4.51
Washington Jr. 4.33

Bell was very good when subbed in in 2024, and I dont think Miami wanted to tinker with the line in 2025, so they kept Bell at LT and Mauigoa at RT. Bell will probably be a Day 2 and possibly top 60 pick

Similar, but a bit different scenario than Tyron Smith/Matt Kalil. Where Kalil was the LT due to experience
