*22nd Pick Felix Jones or Malcolm Kelly*

hold up...
are we talking "rookie year" Julius?
Afterall, it was Felix's first game. And I recall Julius have some monster 'first games'.
But time can tell a different story as we've learned the hard way.

No-I'm saying that if we didn't draft Felix, but kept Julius instead, JJ wouldn't have done squat against the Browns D.

I did-I was mildly dissapointed with the Felix pick at the time. No, I didn't want any part of Kelly, but was hoping we would get Kenny Phillips instead.

Suffice to say, Felix has far exceeded my expectations.

Whether you wanted FJ in the draft or not, it's a little early to be saying this IMO. JuJo far exceeded my expectations the last half of his rookie year...

I remember that year's draft-after Parcells traded out of the 1st round, he tried to get back in b/c Kevin Jones was the apple of his eye.

When all was said it done, apparently, he picked Julius b/c it was the best option when it came our turn in the 2nd round, and nothing more.

Everything in your post is completely irrelevant as a response to my post.

OK-to clarify with details-at one point in the draft, it looked like Steven Jackson would fall in our laps. He was projected to go higher, but for some reason, the teams that everyone thought(i.e. Denver) would nab him, didn't.

Then when it came our turn, everyone was shocked that we traded out of the 1st round with Buffalo(who, of course, got JP Losman with our pick).

Pt being that when we drafted Julius when all was said and done, I KNEW he would be a bust(simply being that among the RB draft class, he was near the bottom). Even when he broke out with his first 2 games against Chicago and Seattle, it didn't change my mind at all.

Anyhow-after we traded out of the first round, reports came out how Parcells wanted to trade back in to get Kevin Jones. It seemed like Parcells ended up making the Julius pick at the end with his fingers crossed.

it goes both ways..

I was all about Justin Tuck. Im a notre dame fan, so I was pimping his all around the forum. I was big on Chris Johnson even before the combine numbers.

But, as we all mess up I've also been very wrong on people.

haha just the nature of it. Im just glad I do it from the comfort of a forum, and friends, rather than have my career rest on making good picks constantly. I cant imagine the long nights that lead up to the draft where they lay in bed thinking "2nd rnd.... Cardinals pass on ______. I have 3 needs and these 10 that I'm high on...."

Your right its early but Felix looks to be more than a 1 trick pony like Julius was.

Julius was killer on that draw play and about the same as he ever was on any other kind of run.

Take away the draw play and Julius was nothing.

I have a feeling if you try to take away something from Felix he will just laugh and beat you another way.

Hes dynamic as heck.

It still isn't relevent to what I posted. You said FJ has far exceeded your expectations. I said JuJo did the same for me at one point. Draft position has nothing to do with it.

For another words, it's too soon to say he's far exceeded expectations. He's only played 1 game and he didn't really do anything "Special" in that game. He came close (on his 2nd carry) but it takes more then 1 "close" big play to say he's far exceeded expectations.

Obviously this is a hypothetical situation but if these 2 guys were on the board who would you pick and why? Don't give me some garbage about not liking their school either, that's ********. And I know many want a CB as do I but I'm looking for an objective perspective on these two guys only.

Good luck cause I'm sure you will post what ever you want regardless..:D

i think this thread will be a joke in about 2 years. Malcolm Kelly isnt going to be that good and felix will be a star
