..wow, so Dak has to play better, period. Very insightful, as we dont get the full picture in real time.

Hopefully, Dak studied this film over and over. Got over some fears, of not following through progressions.

Nobody cares about the INTs. The game was lost in the first half when the offense's first 4 drives lasted a total of about 4 minutes, got a total of 15 yards and turned the ball over once on our end of the field.

Even with the defense stiffening after the first drive and even getting a turnover right after our offense turned it over, everyone could see that the defense was going to run out of steam without the offense doing something to help them out. It was basically a replay of the playoffs last year. Defense folded after being left on the field the whole game.

The INT'S were just funny at that point.

Now watch the next team who plays them I bet they don't have 4 drives with 15 yards I bet my life

Most football people know interceptions aren't the main problem.
It's not hitting receivers that are open and grossly missing targets downfield. Taking sacks when the ball should have been gone....see Brock Purdy.

Can agree with ALL of that, however, extending Dak isnt going to remedy the situation, especially if it further restricts your CAP to improve those areas.

As is said so many times, by so many fans, Dak may not be the only problem, but he isnt the solution.

You're right, but its chicken/egg about needing a lead for Dak to play in his comfort zone. The INTS arent the problem, they are the symptom of his inability to play with a deficit (as you say the game was already gone by the time of the first interception).
He throws interceptions because he panic's when he needs to force plays. It's probably why the Defense plays overly aggressive early on, sacrifice the run defense to try and make plays in the back field......because our/Dak's whole game is predicated on getting a lead.

I hate to say this and hope I'm wrong but I think his confidence is done, cooked, gone. Even listening to his interview, you don't sense a person's answers.

Talk show callers and most of CZ are focused on INTs.

Dak taking sacks instead of throwing the ball away was a much bigger problem than INTs. He would be out if the pocket and still not throw it away.

But would both in combination, taking sacks and throwing picks be a big problem?

Interceptions had zero bearing on the final outcome. Offense/Defense already stunk up the night and there were zero signs they were able to make a huge comeback.

Brock Purdy had all day on every pass play to just sit back, eat a sandwich, drink some tea, play some guitar, then look out and find his numerous wide open receivers to throw it to. Oh, but he's the next best thing since sliced bread? Pfft. Put legit pressure on him while covering his receivers. He will **** the bed just like the rest.

How come you don't bring up that the 49ers wanted Dak to throw? They know our weakness and it's not any of the things you mentioned, they knew Dak would make a mistake

This film study session really shows how bad Dak was with his progressions and timing of throws. WRs were open.

Will not dispute the Dak progression flaws......but I saw 9ers have answers for our offense scheme, poor route concepts, no fear in 1-on-1 matchups, pressure, and proper coverages. (Many tight windows).

I dont remember many people saying three picks were the reason they lost. I do remember people saying before the game he was well below 500 career vs playoff teams. His QBR when trailing was in the mide 60s. This year his ranking vs zone defenses was 18th and probably in 20s now. I am sure those things had more to do with getting blown out than three picks. I am pretty sure his teamates are painfully aware of it too. I will give you 4% die hards credit for loyality but its blatantly obvious this bum isnt leading this team anywhere.

I agree with you. The defense could not mk a stop. Dak was bad but the offense sucked too.

Everyone should know the formula to win.

I've posted about it many times.

With Dak as the QB, they must rush for more yards than they allow. Dak has a 93% win rate when that happens. When it does not happen, then his win rate is not good.

The 49ers have the same formula with Purdy.

The 49ers run yards differential vs opponents is huge this season.

Last season the 49ers:
15 wins in 15 games with +run differential.
4 wins in 5 games with + run differential.

The same thing could be said about the Eagles as well. Their lack of run game/run defense is why this team is struggling. This has to be fixed or they have zero chance for success.
