What will the Cowboys do with their 2nd rounder. There plenty of speculation regarding the 1st rounder. To me, it's a toss-up between Lawson or Wimberly.

Me thinks the 2nd is crucial. We have a history of getting o-line in the 2nd...LA, Flo, Page, Gurode, Johnson, Rogers...4 out of 6 on those names.

I hope we take a guard in the 2nd. I hope it's Gean-Jiles or Lutui. Would love to hear your opinions regarding these two beasts. I never paid attention to Gean-Jiles. Only saw Lutui in the Rose Bowl and remember thinking he's LA's replacement. Thoughts

I would like David Joseph as he is good and versatile(played OT as well)

Those two "beasts" don't really fit what the Cowboys are trying to do... these days, the Boys are looking for MOBILE, AGILE blockers, not straight-ahead drive-blocking maulers (that would have been the Hudson Houck era)... neither one could ever hope to do the pulling and trapping that Parcells requires...

Nope, if it's big AND fast you want, you're thinking Charles Spencer in the second... or Chris Chester or Davin Joseph... or even Jason Spitz... and at tackle, well, there's a host of names that might fit in at pick 49...

I'm hoping Gabe Watson slides...take Wimbley in the first. I'd be fine with a Ko Simpson, but would rather get a clogger or top olineman.

I would hope it isn't Spitz or Chester in the second round. Those would both be terrible choices. In the third or optimally fourth is where I think those two have value. But absolutely not at 49.

I think Jason Allen slides and we scope him up in the second after tacking a LB in the first.

I said in my last mock that my bet right now for round two is Anthony Fasano - TE - Notre Dame.

Solid blocker and protection if Witten decides to ask for too much $$$ in the near future. With the amount of two and three TE sets that Parcells likes, I think he'd see more time playing time than just about any other second rounder.

He's a "win now" pick unlike an OLineman, the mode I think Dallas is in right now but still shows an eye towards the future.

I'd be all for Davin Joseph. He could be a fixture for years to come. I doubt that will happen though because that would make the $15 mill dollar man a swing man. I believe they go best tackle available, offensive or defensive.

This is the deepest linebacker draft in years. I wouldn't be surprised if we pick out LB in the second, and use the first for the BPA who dropped. A NT, OT, or even Cromartie the CB.

Charles Spencer in the 2nd round. He would push to start right away if one of the projected starting guards is not up to par.

My pick is Davin Joseph or Spencer as others have stated. Both fit the style of guard that the current staff is looking for. They're moving away from the Larry Allen-type maulers and more toward more mobile, athletic guards.

And, given the age and questions at the position, I think guard will be addressed early.

Either a NG or Olineman. We will not take a FS on day one, book it.

Sounds like most of you would prefer any of these guards. After reading their profiles, I wouldn't mind either of those picks.

My fear is that Kosier just won't cut it.

BTW...did Rivera play LG or RG in Green Bay and are you familiar which sides Joseph or Spencer played in college.

I'm leaning more and more to thinking we draft an OG either in 2 or 3. A few mocks have Joseph going late in 1st round but most have him going in 2nd along with Gilles, Lutui & Spencer; Spencer is the guy I want & should be there when we pick but if Jason Allen falling because of failing 2 physicals, Cowboys might draft him (after they have their own doctor carefully check him out).

I've seen some mock drafts showing Watson slipping into mid second round; Cowboys might be tempted but his motivation/weight enough concern that I'd rather we didn't draft him. Baba Oshinowo should be available in 3/4th round and he protypical NT in 3-4.

I think there should be value on the line. Maybe Marcus McNeil falls. Spencer, Joseph, Colledge, Gilles, Latui etc. On the other side of the ball maybe Gabe Watson falls a little bit. If one of these guys falls to Dallas I think they would all be nice value.

If we draft on the line, I would prefer it to be offensive line. I would take any of five or six different OGs over Gabe Watson from a value perspective.

We could hit NT late in the draft and get a good enough player to throw into the mix with Thomas Johnson and Jay Ratliff.
