If you don't like Owa taking on blocks I'm not sure who you will like then. Pres Smith is about the only guy in this draft with the length/strength combo Owa has. I'm not saying he's perfect and can't use some counter moves to shed, but it's hard to find a DE with better tools than Owa late in round 1.

I agree with you and I don't like any DE in round 1. The value isn't there. Owa could learn. I like him just not at 27 and I don't think he would be a difference maker day 1. He could develop. He could not also. I like preston smith or Owa in a trade back but I don't think either are top 30 players

OO is growing on me, although, that is mostly because of most of the comments I see in here...I can see him in the early 2nd round so a mini-trade back could still see us getting him without giving up our 2nd rounder in a trade back to get more pick(s)...I could see dropping into the mid 30's and he could be there, and if not, you could see a guy like armstead there...I kinda like what I see there as well

then, even if the mini-trade nets a 4th from someone, you still have your second rounder to grab that RB (I still like Yeldon for my money if you aren't getting one of the top two or three RB's)

i will say this in every mock i see between now and the draft.

This team will draft a QB between the 2nd and 4th rounds. All one has to do is look at the age and health of our QB and the fact we really dont have a backup and certainly not a developmental on the roster. Everyone will complain and moan about it but its going to happen

Not this year they won't. This is the weakest QB draft in several years. They aren't just going t0 pick one for the sake of picking one when none are better than the QB they already have on the roster (Vaughan). Next year, yes. This year in a turd QB draft? Not a chance.
