Makes perfect sense. Then tell us genius what you would do. I guess status quo. Your basically putting 5 dlineman out there doing what I say it would help tremendously. We never had a bad run d in a 3-4.

Let me tell you something buddy. Cowboys fan to cowboys fan. There is no fix for this team. If it’s not the run, it’ll be the secondary. If it’s not the secondary, it’ll be the offense. If it’s not the offense, it’ll be special teams. It’s always something. Try and stop the run all you want, but other problems will arise.

Dlaw isn’t a 34 DE and would become a major run liability in the scheme, Hankins days of handling the amount of snaps as a starter are long gone, we’re better with Galimore and OSA playing 3tech than what Watkins is as a 34 end. If Williams had any coverage ability Miss st would have had him playing OLB instead of as an undersized liability against the run 34 end. Clark needs a training camp. LVE isn’t near physical enough playing in this 43, he’s liable to wet his pants just thinking of the physicality of a 34. We spent the last 2 years drafting players for Quinn’s 43 under, only player that 34 really fits as a quality starter is Micah, with maybe OSA and considering he played nose in that scheme at UCLA, Jerry might be liable to decide that’s where he wants him!

I'd love to have us switch to that, and I've been calling for that for a while with Parsons. We have a 3-4 favourable defence.

3-4 4-3 nickle they all have gap concepts, the problem we have is we abandon gaps to pressure the QB, dont care how you line up you still have gap assignments that need to be handled and not an afterthought to getting a sack.

Just because something is doom and gloom doesn’t mean you give up. many posters here suggest I jump ship because I “hate” and “criticize”, or “troll” according to some. But again, just because it’s storming outside doesn’t mean you flee. You weather the storm. Same for the Cowboys. Even though they piss me off to high heavens I cannot not care for this team. I’m too attached.
