Here are 3 more perfect examples of how McCarthy has failed the Cowboys. His mismanagement of players is mind boggling to me. I doubt any of these 3 see any playing time because the Cowboys stupidly still think they have a chance for the playoffs. At this point I only expect Mingo to return in 2025.

There may still be three games remaining on the 2024 NFL regular-season schedule, but the Dallas Cowboys really have nothing left to play for. Any hope of reaching the postseason is dead. What they need to do now is start focusing more on the future.

There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered before they can jump entirely into offseason mode, the first and foremost is whether or not Mike McCarthy is worthy of sticking around. Beyond that it comes down to evaluating this roster with an eye on the future.

With that in mind, we would like to see the Dallas Cowboys take full advantage of the final three games remaining this year. By that we mean getting a few players more involved to get a jumpstart on the evaluation process for next year and beyond.
  • WR Jonathan Mingo
  • RB Deuce Vaughn
  • QB Trey Lance

Good stuff. I agree that keeping them in the closet isn't any way to reach useful conclusions as to their status. At least give them enough activity to get a reasonably useful handle as to what to do with them. It greatly benefits both the coaches and the players, themselves. It's reasonable to say that we have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

At this juncture, there's no real excuse for wasting time. Finding out what to do with them in the future is an all-important way to handle this team's ongoing business. Using this team's players to best advantage is a crucial need for the future well-being of the team as a whole. Get 'em active, ASAP. If just one of them is successful, the time and trouble involved would have been well worth it.

Ryan Flournoy WR …is he a big physical YAC receiver he was built up to be ? Can’t tell they never target him or he’s inactive .

Tyler Guyton LT… ( first round pick ) do not want to see Chum Edoga whatsoever

Marist Liufau LB… Three solid teams left on schedule to continue his development as a big piece to the the 2025 defense

I agree that I would love to see these guys get some snaps, but ultimately Jerry put the coaches in a very difficult position being on expiring deals. If I put myself in McCarthy or Zimmers position would I have any motivation to play young guys I have no confidence in? Winning one of these last three games could be the difference between getting a new contract or sitting at home next season. Experimenting with Lance doesnt do any of the coaches any good if hes terrible and makes it easier for Jerry to let them walk after the year.

Is this article for real? Do they really think I want to tune in to see three guys who should probably not even be in the NFL. Lance is a complete joke. Deuce is only here because his daddy works for the team. Mingo is whatever I guess I can live with him for now.

Hoffman and Bass would be the two I would want to see taking as many snaps as possible

I would like to know where you get information on Lance. I suppose dated info and preseason "games"?
In my eyes I see a serious kack of data to make a determination either way.

Sincere question not trying to challenge you.

Dallas is likely eliminated Sunday.

Lance should get the call the last two games.
I agree but even if he lights it up in the next few weeks, there ain't nothing we can do about it.

How much can you invest in the QB position?

He already made a less than mediocre QB the highest paid player in NFL history!
