3 Dallas Cowboys rookies who could start in Week 1

I just hope Jay Toia can beat out Mazi 'on skates' Smith for that spott (can't be that hard, right?).

I figure they will rotate, but we need Jay if we even have a shot at the Eagles week one.

I love what they say about Toia making an impact this season.

3 Dallas Cowboys rookies who could start in Week 1

No matter what you think about the Brian Schottenheimer hiring, free agency, or anything else, the incoming Cowboys rookies should get you fired up.

Dallas walked away with one of the strongest draft classes in the league, largely due to a consistent best-player-available strategy, and it will have a huge impact on the 2025 season. Multiple rookies will be asked to make a day one impact.

In short, the George Pickens addition may not be their most beneficial new toy; it might just be these young guys.

I see the majority, if not all, of the incoming rookies getting on the field throughout the season, but we really need to consider who can become starters by Week 1. This is a roster that lost talent in the offseason, and could use a boost in a few starting roles.

On both sides of the ball, we need to see some of these rookies earn that title in the build-up to the season; let’s talk about the three that have the best chance of doing that.
  • Tyler Booker: Take Over Right Guard
  • Shavon Revel: Filling Big Shoes At Cornerback
  • Jay Toia: Flying Under The Radar

Don't count our Blue, especially since he just apparently predicted he will win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

If Jay Toia starts, or even plays well, that would be a certified steal. I would be giddy if he at some point he became an impact player. Or at least be good enough to stay with the team until he does become that player.
he is my new pet cat
But then Bohannon was one of mine for a while as well so.....

Tyler should and will be the only rookie starting Week 1. EZE will rotate, Revel vs AJ n Davonta? Nah, not yet, Blue? Nope he'll probably fumble first hit lol. Joking but these guys should be eased into the game its a long season.

I believe Tyler Booker is not "could" start, I think he is "will" start.

Instead of hoping mazi improved you are hoping that a 7th round rookie dt saves us vs philly. Cz never disappoints

On another note, I think it's likely we sign Gilmore after camp or maybe right before. He wasn't at the Star for no reason. So, I'm still skeptical Revel starts game 1. And I think the Cowboys know it'll take time for he and Diggs.

I was just watching Voch and he also thinks that may happen. I like his solo show more than his in-house work.

He also suggested we go get Amari Cooper, which I think is a bad idea.

There is a lot of interesting activities going on with the secondary right now. This a positional strengths last year and lost an older Pro in the off season. I'm hungry watching this group and potentials.

That was an interesting take by Voch, watched it yesterday. Loved the LT idea.

Any 3 rookies could start but I think Booker is the only lock to start. Will Revell be healthy week 1? He could start if healthy only because of the injury situation.

I think putting Toia in as a starter is a long shot. He will probably get snaps because of the lack of depth at the position, but I don't see him beating out Mazi week 1.

I think Ezeiruaku has a better chance of starting over Toia. We'll see if the new regime loves Sam Williams or not.

The thing is starting is not as important where rotation is a big part. I can see James getting some playing time as well.

I think all of them have a decent chance of starting.....I mean, they aren't exactly displacing a bunch of All Pros
