1. Woodson
2. Tolbert
3. Bates
I know Bill Bates was more of a special teams ace but he did get in some game action at safety. I remember last year when Garrett said Wilcox had "Bill Bates Syndrome", referring to the way he always tackled hard in games and practice. He was one of my favorites anyway

If Norton had stayed in Dallas it would easily be Norton in 3rd.

I can't put Lett on this list because of the pain caused by that snowy Thanksgiving game. I remember going from cheering to hollering at the TV while my Commander-fan-family laughed. Probably not unlike Seattle fans vs haters this past Super Bowl.

I wonder if Woody wouldn't be nearly a consensus #1 on these lists if it weren't for the proverbial desert at safety sense.

I wonder who is #1 on WoodysGirl's list, I am betting it is Stan Smagala.

Kevin Smith who was a better corner than Deion before injuries took over.

Lett so big and so fast off the ball, would have been a HOF if his head was on straight.

Woodson a LB with corner skills playing safety a rare player indeed.

Same list for me

I'm sure there's some Cowboy FAN floating around out in never never land who has an entire room in their house dedicated to the career of Stan Smagala.

LOL!

Those are all the ones I disliked! Especially Danny "The Buffoonan" Noonan.

Jeff Rohrer. He sang the tune to the Beverly Hillbillies when a reporter asked him a question about new owner Jerry Jones. He was gone shortly thereafter.

The property values in that area are up 25%, because of this alone.

Lol. Brice came back to his hometown and he is not too much of a public person. His brother is much more known . After he ruined a career in Dallas, he came home and is not seen much around town. He owned a car wash at one time. I was really disappointed in him. After his rookie season, he used the offseason to ride around drinking beer and smoking cigars. No offseason work for him and it ruined his career. Sad story really. His brother, Muhundis is much better known around town due to his work in law enforcement as s sheriff's deputy.

Kevin Smith was an underrated corner with a great skill set. And the guy was fearless. The Achilles injury robbed him of gaining stature as an elite corner. And, while not better than Sanders, I'm not sure if anyone, including Sanders and Darrell Green, played any better vs. Jerry Rice.
