Its only one game. There was a bunch of guys who need to step their game up in week 2. After about 8 weeks we will get a assessment this roster. If this team suffers again the pressure will be on Garrett.

Pressure choosing Cheerios or Raisin Bran in the morning.

Jeff Fisher has made a career of underachieving.

You can change the coach as many times as you want but the problem is far bigger than him. We are hoping that a coach can coach in spite of what the real problem is.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Fisher has underachieved because he's had QB issues for a number of years. He still has a career because he's a proven head coach who's had some success in the league. He had three 13-3 teams and a 12-4 team in Tenn when he had a solid QB in Steve McNair. He has a very impressive 11-5 playoff record that includes a trip to the SB in which his team barely lost to the Greatest Show on Turf. Things started going sour for him when McNair started to decline and it's been QB problems for him ever since.

He inherited an unstable QB situation in St Louis with Sam Bradford who couldn't stay healthy and wasn't consistent when he was. Swapping Bradford for Foles didn't work out. He used the #1 overall pick on Goff this past April who looked so bad in preseason the Rams didn't even bother to suit him out for the opener which has to be pretty alarming for Rams fans. Fisher could only have wished he inherited a Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Dez Bryant and a Demarcus Ware when he took over the Rams.

Even with a franchise QB that only missed one game in 3 seasons Garrett could only manage 8-8 seasons. We're just spinning our wheels with him watching a repeat of the same issues that have plagued the team ever since he's been the head coach. No matter what personnel changes we make we see the same issues. It's almost like every player we bring in is instructed to be stupid and inconsistent. It's the Jason Garrett blueprint.

I'll throw in that we should also be patient because most of us are adults, have seen an NFL season before, and because we really have no other choice after week freaking one.

Any quarterback issues Jeff Fisher has had is because of himself. He's built a career on what McNair and co. did for him. He hasn't done anything since then. HE can't develop talent despite having numerous of options. Fisher is terrible. I'm not arguing Garrett vs. Fisher. Underachieving is underachieving. Garrett is learning on the go. Probably has been learning on the go for far too long now. Fisher....I have no idea what he's doing. But LA is impressed with him since they offered him a extension. Mind you his 1st overall pick is a 3rd string qb.....meanwhile rookies around the league are starting. Or at least in a backup role. Fisher is a player killer and a franchise killer.

At least Fisher has been to the playoffs multiple times and even came 1 yard from winning the SuperBowl.

If that is underachieving, what the hell does that make Coach .500?

One reason not to be patient Jason Garrett who's had one winning/playoff season in his 5 full seasons as head coach. See if you can find another head coach in the NFL who's had a record as poor as that over the past decade and is still coaching the same team.

Not sure when he joined the Rams but Feff Jisher is the only guy I can think of.

Let's just give him three.
1) Jerry Jones, the country club atmosphere he created, and his two decades of mediocrity.
2) Jason Garrett.
3) The defense.

Can't blame Fisher for McNair's decline or that he inherited Sam Bradford in St Louis. He'll be held accountable for Goff because he drafted him and if the Rams opener is any indication of how their season will go, Fisher may end up out of work. They still have a long way to go with Goff and he may end up a great QB. Steve McNair took time to develop. You mentioned Fisher and there's no comparison that can be made with him and Garrett. Garrett was an unproven commodity when he was handed the job in 2011 and despite the team being overhauled since then and despite having a franchise QB and a lot of other pieces that many teams would be envious of it's only resulted in one good season in 5 years. Fisher has been a head coach since 94 and the game may have passed him by but Garrett is still going through on the job training entering his 6th season. At some point Jerry has to come to grips that he will never learn how to be an NFL head coach. According to Jerry, Garrett did an amazing job last season which is a pretty odd comment to make after a 4-12 season.

Well we all know what Jerry says to the media or in public isn't a reflection of how he really feels. I do think he believes in Garrett. Maybe to a fault at this point. I really could care less if he's replaced or not. Because whoever we replace him with.....may be even worse. The situation won't change. The foundation and the culture will stay the same.

As bad as Garrett has been at times....Fisher is by far the worst head coach in the league. Its truly remarkable he stays employed. Maybe because the Rams feel like they can't do better. They are sadly mistaken.

In regards to Garrett the success isn't there but I can honestly say he's left this team in a better situation than it was before he got here or before he became head coach. But in the W/L column not much has change so I get that as well.

At least Fisher has been to the playoffs multiple times and even came 1 yard from winning the SuperBowl.

Fisher has ruined careers. He ruined Vince's career. Among others. Look you don't like Garrett? Fine. No argument from me. I'm just about fed up with him as well. But Fisher is no better and is actually worse. If you don't like .500 records than go and check out what Fisher has done these past few years.......he'd love to be .500.

Fisher is entering year 5 with the Rams and he's had QB issues every year. Garrett had one season with QB issues and it led to a worse season than Fisher ever had with the Rams.

#3) we are basically playing with one of the five DE's we were planning on, plus T. Crawford stunk it up Sunday and should improve.

Sounds to me like you don't like Fisher. He's had some major QB issues with the Rams the past 4 seasons and it never resulted in a 4-12 season during that period. Can't imagine he would have gone 8-8 three straight years with a Tony Romo, Jason Witten and a Dez Bryant. My only issue with Garrett is he can't coach and nothing on his resume says he ever could. At least Fisher fielded some very good teams over his career when he had a solid QB situation.

I guess when we start losing our fantasy fans who have Romo, Dez , Witten and Elliott , etc. on their teams then we'll know we have taken a turn for the worse .

Does anyone out there have the Cowboys defense? Lol

But yea, I imagine after missing the playoffs again for the 6th time in 7 years patience does become a virtue with Cowboy fans. After 20 years it's one of our best assets.

Just keep showing up for the games , buying that merchandise and supporting our sponsors. We wouldn't want any fallout in the organization remaining #1 in Revenue.

Realists are thriving. They love this time.

Please let us win so I won't hear from them like the great win streak of 2014.

Thank you

It's kind of sad that people can't give a couple of rookies even one week to live up to their lofty expectations. That's today's society I guess. "I want now!"
