He will be in TC. Depends on how many RB’s they draft and sign in FA. As well if the try to keep Dowdle.

I will reserve judgment based on talent after TC.

Just a guess, but it feels as if there needed to be be plays implemented just for him, but he isn’t good enough to justify that.

He seemed to be running the same plays as the other backs, and that just wasn’t going to work. Has to get him in space and I don’t recall that happening even once.

Had McCarthy stayed Deuce would have been cut and his chances of making the team next season is still slim. He’s been a wasted roster spot for two seasons. We’ll see if this staff has a plan for him.

Get him the ball in space! lol. One of my favorite comments. Hell, they don’t design plays to get legit players the ball in space so why start with the halfling.

I can’t get the image out of my head of Prescott moving slightly to his left and overthrowing DV on the sideline. The overthrow wasn’t the part that caught my attention, but the change in Dak’s throwing motion was. Looked like a guy playing darts guiding a football toward a tiny target instead of throwing it.

Maybe a Dak to Vaughn connection can work in a couple years after Dak’s had some time playing catch with his daughter.

Ok so you consider most late round picks as misses unless you get lucky? I can live with that assertion

He was the #1 name on their board when they were on the clock.

I'll never understand the hate for Deuce. He was a 6th round pick who hasn't ever been given a chance and was massively underutilized by McCarthy. It was clear McCarthy just didn't have a clue what to do with him. So he just ignored him.

Deuce was the 212th pick of the draft. A late 6th rounder. On the other hand, the very first pick of the 6th round, pick 178 the Cowboys selected Eric Scott. That wasn't their pick originally, they traded up to select him. The Cowboys traded a fifth-round selection in the 2024 NFL draft to select Scott. So they used 2 picks to get him.........and you never (and I mean EVER) hear a peep about that massive screw up. 2 picks for a player taken over 40 picks BEFORE Deuce. Scott was inactive the entire 2023 season never seeing the field and was released by the Cowboys on August 26, 2024.

It's pretty clear some of the hate directed at the totally mismanaged 212th pick should be directed somewhere else.

Duece hasn’t been given a chance because his inability to do anything unless he’s got open space is evident and who are you gonna sit to give him carries ? Can you put him in situations where he needs to block?
