3 Ups, 3 Downs - Week 8 @ PHI

This is true a few times, it's not the reason though. He should of been able to bull rush him and did not.

Apparently, many fans don't understand that you can hold in the NFL. You can hold a defender in the front of his jersey. You just can't be caught pulling at his jersey as he's trying to get away.

Those offensive linemen who have mastered the skill of blocking know how long to hold and when to release. It's a subtle technique a lineman has to learn, but everyone does.

Last night, the Eagles did it better than the Cowboys. But it wasn't blatant enough to drop a flag every play. The Eagles just whipped the Cowboys at the point of attack.

Plain ... and ... simple.

Stressing the Bennett gaffe here. He's an absolute cancer that finds a way to screw up every chance he ever gets. We had something going only down 2 scores early and he completely sucked the wind out of our sails. Can't wait til this clown is gone.

You're right. I didn't say what I meant:

It's hard to run the ball when your opponent scores every possession. We got runs stuffed on a few first and/or second downs and ended up in third and long, didn't pick up the first and punted. Philly took the ball and scored. It looked like to me that Philly really clamped down on the run after Murray busted a couple early on, and that's when Garrett went away from it.

But I do agree: Red tends to give up on the ground game way too early.

Agreed. What was left out of sight here, is that by three and punting through the entire game kept the defense on the field. At least while running the ball, kept the offense on the field. That at least gave the defense a chance to catch a blow. Both Coleman and Ratliff bent over almost unable to even stand up, says it all.

Running moved the chain, and helped both the defense as well as field positions. Especially given the lack of a real punter...

The Cowboys, when pressure games or high view contests confront them, don't go heads up and hold their ground. This part I have to seriously give concerns about.

Last night at work, at about the start of the second quarter, my comment was that if I were on that field, there would be a hell of a fight going on around me...instead of what we were watching during our swing.

How many times has coaching showed up on these lists btw?

Without looking at my own posts or other people's posts...I'm guessing every week since Detroit, minus St. Louis.

He did. The guy held is jersey blatantly in the open field where the ref was observing.

Same thing with Dez in the end zone. The ref was 2 feet away.

Honorable Mention for the bad: The Officiating!

First it was the play that was clearly an incomplete forward pass, and then summed up by this one right here with Dez being given a hug 2 feet in front of the ref in the end zone. Absolute madness.

You'll see plays like this around the league if you watch other games, too. The officiating has been outright horrid this year.
