3 year rule - Draft 2005

Since the switch to 8 picks in the early 90s I don't see a better draft. Anyone else see one?

And to add to that

out of the 8 players drafted

6 still remain on our team with significant roles in the team.

Out of the two that didn't make, one started for a year, and the other retired due to injury.

Ware and Barber's presence alone should give it a B. Let alone when you throw in Ratliff, who came in and dominated the middle, and Canty who's been a force on the end. Let's not forget about Burnett who has solidified himself as our nickel LB.

I think this Draft is defiantly an A+. Of course we have Barber, Ware, and lot of quality starters. I also think Kevin Burnet well have a breakout season, he should see more time now that Akin is gone

5 starters, 6 major contributers, gets a C?

Because we missed on two 6th round choices, seriously?

I was just about to write this. Is he serious? Drafts don't get much better than that as far as Pro Bowlers, contributors and starters. A "C"? Wow. Glad you're not my parent. Sounds like you would have punished me for getting a 98 on a test instead of 100%. That was, BY FAR, our best draft in many years.

You, me and every other team in th NFL. Draft like that a few years in a row and you're talking "Dynasty"! Let's hope that this year's draft is at least as good as 2005.

I would like to go back and grade our draft... realistically. We cannot rate this one yet.

We can go back 3 years or so and see what happened and what they grade really was...
