Bland is 6 foot with 35 inch arms. It’s no wonder he seems to have reach that QBs are not anticipating. Not terribly slow either with 4.4 speed.

Feel bad for Brown but this will certainly take away those deep verticals once he goes through a bit of rookie adjustments by the time playoffs are here.

what a great night for Bland!

So the question should be is Bland getting kicked out wide or staying inside.
Bland currently is evolving into playmaker in Lewis slot role, but I believe he will be Browns replacement and not Joseph.
Hate to move Bland now but Browns injury necessitates an immediate shuffle in the secondary.
Joseph makes me extremely nervous outside in man, so lets hope that Bosman learns and develops as quickly as Bland did inside.
We will see how Q adjusts, but if I'm a betting man I'm betting that Q fills Browns absence with Bland and fats moves inside.

100% agree. I don’t know that they move him outside this year but I will be shocked (barring a 1st round investment) if Bland isn’t opposite Diggs next year as your starter

If you kicked him outside, Clark Phillips III is a guy that could play the slot and play it well. Will probably be available late R1 simply because he's two inches two short; otherwise, he'd be Top 15.

The great Parcels once said "Let's not break out the anointing oil just yet" He may be good and the thought from the Colts was to pick on him on the 50/50. Clearly that was a bad idea. I would need to see consistancy first. I'd also like to see how he handles the long ball. Brown got burnt a bunch this year on that.

He has better instincts and understanding of the game than Kelvin Joesph so far.

No question. Joseph getting more playing time because of injuries is going to have a negative effect. Corner is a need in the off season. Relying on Joseph is going to hurt the team unless he miraculously does a 180.

Not talking about next years draft, just talking about what is on hand now and how we address Browns absence.
Does Wright get called up?

Bland is definitely a keeper. But we need viable replacement for Brown.
With playoffs looming. Oh and forget Bossman.

My son and I talked at length last night about what's going to happen at CB going forward. My guess is they leave Bland at slot because he's been playing so well there, and slide Joseph into Brown's spot. Then, hopefully they'll give Joseph help from a safety over top. The question is what will happen when they go into a dime look. I guess they could bring in an extra safety rather than CB, or Nashon Wright gets the snaps.

Bland has a great game. But let's not forget he was toasted multiple times at GB which caused us the game.

Don't lose track of what's going on here. It's not Brown vs Bland if Brown is out for the year, it's Bland vs Joseph. So if you are ok with Joseph on the field most of the game then you shouldn't have a huge concern. Me, I'm not a big fan of Brown, but I'm still very little concerned...
