Was, is and always will be the King of Rock 'N Roll.

He was gone before I was even born but I love his music & his charisma is apparent even on video.

I love Elvis!

Do you ever even try to be unpretentious on the boards? Don't bother responding. It was a rhetorical question.

Ignorant remark, CCF. But what's new?

I love Elvis!

He was such a pioneer in the industry with respect to touring and the production. His story is fascinating. If you ever get a chance to get to Memphis Graceland is a must see. You almost literally step back in time.

I remember it well

Me too. I just came in from football practice, still had my pads on. I remember my mom standing there crying and she told me he died. It's weird how you remember exact moments in time like that. It's like it was yesterday in my mind.

I have been many times! I was raised on Elvis. My mom always told me Elvis was the only man that ever made her swoon! :)

You sayin' I'm old?????

:fight:
LOL...Cajuncowboy, if you were coming in from football practice that day, I assure you that you are not old....compared to me anyway! (I had just gotten married about 3 months before Elvis died).

Anyways R.I.P. Elvis

Dude was a LEGEND. Wasn't around obviously when he died, but I've listened to several of his songs.

Never really been a fan but he definitely was a music icon. He brought "sexy" to music.

There was a girl I knew in high school who had an extremely weird obsession with the guy though. Her entire room was decked out.

If more and more people would put him on ignore he'd simply go away. I don't understand why more people don't do this with posters like him who bring absolutely nothing of value to the site.

As for Elvis I wasn't, and never will be, a fan but I definately respect that mark he left in music and on the world in general. The guy was out of this world popular during his day.

Oh I will say that I do like a few of his songs but only 1 of them when he's the one singing it.

I've always liked Fools Rush In when he sings it. Love that song.

I also like a couple others but I like the versions other people did rather than the ones Elvis recorded.

My grandfather plays elvis christmas cds to this day on christmas, and my sis shares the same bday.

I mentioned in another thread that Elvis died on my 2nd wedding anniversary, .. August 16, 1977.

I'll always remember that.

His voice was awesome, .."on a cold and gray Chicago morn, another little baby child was born, in the ghetto, ... and his mamma cried."
