35 years ago today, he shook his hips for the last time

One of those "remember where you were..." moments for sure.

I also had just gotten home from footbal practice.

I saw his ex Priscilla along with Lisa on tv yesterday. Lisa sure looks a lot like her father!

You sayin' I'm old?????

:fight:

sup grandpa and whos this guy?

Just playing of course

I just watched "Elvis on Tour" which I had dvr'd..

Great stuff. Elvis said he never got over his stage fright. The Memphis Mafia guys were kind of creepy but I can understand why he had them around.

I wish I had been around when he was alive. I would have loved to see him in concert. Nobody can touch Elvis!

Lisa is beautiful. Her parents were both gorgeous although Priscilla looked very weird in the interview. Too much plastic surgery I think. She was almost as pretty as Elvis in her heyday though. :)

I wasn't even alive when Elvis was around but his songs are absolutely phenomenal...I can easily understand why he's considered the king of rock...the guy had it all, great songs, charisma, dance moves, the whole 9...I will say that I much prefer his faster paced songs rather than the slower ones..

Not to mention a great voice.

What I always admired about Elvis was that it came so easy for him. He never had to force it. He didn't have to scream at the high notes, or his face didn't turn red and his neck veins stick out.

He just opened his mouth and it rolled out.

This might be my all time favorite Elvis song and maybe my all time favorite period.

Simply one of the most beautiful songs ever IMO.

God given talent! I saw his Ed Sullivan appearance just yest. Very raw but oh yea he had something special in spades. He just came alive on stage. 35 years later & he is still loved. Amazing!

I loved Elvis when I was a kid.......but wish Little Richards got more praise......some say he was the King of Rock and Roll
