This for me was probably the biggest kick in the gut the whole game. We are in a great position there up 8. They just got a false start and now are out of FG range. Not only do we let them get the 1st but they proceed to walk into the endzone after the catch. Just pathetic.

I know blitzing is not your forte but geezus, can we maybe one play send the house against a hobbled QB? At least force him to make a quick throw and not have all day to wait for the route to extend past the 1st down marker for a completion.

Brutal.

With this defense, we are playing with house money. Now this defense held that Green Bay team to 10 points at the half. Why couldn't we score like 27 points while the defense was owning? That play sucked, and I screamed at the TV, but I never try to base 1 play on the entire game. Most things, you can over come until it's too late.

2nd and 20 or whatever the hell the situation was when Cobb caught the sideline pass was pretty Damn bad too

Way too many mistakes to beat a team of gbs caliber...and on the road

So hard to take this L

If you ever thought this D was going to stop Arod you are mistaken. If anything we should put up all the points possible the first 3 quarters. At the least we left 10 points out there and spotted them 3.

I'm not blaming this game on that play but for me, this play was the biggest kick in the gut. So deflating.

Bottom line is the defense needs an overhaul... We must get some QB hunters and some DBs whom play the freakin' ball!

Hmmm at what point in the game was this? Trying to remember. I remember a play like this but don't recall the time and situation.

Bailey missed Fg...Lawrence? Sack I believe...bomb to Cobb..gb FG....half time

Yup I'm saying on every thread and I said it all season we simply do not have a championship defense. It magnifies every mistake the offense and ST make.

Moore was terrible today . He let Adams punk him the entire 2nd half he really let us down .

I never expected to stop him all game. Hobbled or not.

But to give up that play at that time was brutal. I don't care how bad you say this defense is or how good you say Rodgers is. At the least, you force them to settle for 3. Heck even at the absolute worst, you tackle them after he gets the 1st and see what happens after that.

Points out why we need to invest in D like we did in O Line

Yes that was brutal and I posted about this. That was a terrible sequence.

Both of these were deflating. One was one single play and the other was a terrible sequence.

Yeah you are correct. It was like we stop doing what work before.

With a hard cap, it's kind of hard to invest in all areas. You have to pick your spots. No matter how much people think the NFL is changing with all these points and yards being at an all time high and all these rules against defense, the game junk. is still won up front.

Over the years, we have ignored the trenches on defense and it came back to bite us.Jerry liked the flashy guys like the DBs and all. The 2 we got in 2012 turned out to be junk.

So many little things when added together spelled doom for our team. Bailey's missed FG is the one that shocked me. Had he made that one, we were in position to win it with another FG at the end. This one just hurts. I'm proud of the Boys though, they played their hearts out. We'll be back.

Agree. you could also tell there was something going on with his kickoffs. Not the normal almost field goals we are used to seeing ( high & deep into the end zone)

Look, we can nickel and dime this game to death. We simply didn't play sound enough in all aspects to win. And it just wasn't one play. It was several.
But as much as we hate to admit it, and while I love Romo, Aaron Rodgers just showed us what a super elite quarterback can do for your team. Aaron Rodgers was the difference. He beat the Cowboys - one of the best teams in the NFL - standing on one leg.
Absolutely incredible.

It's the 2nd or 3rd and long plays that drive me crazy when Rod won't blitz and we get no push from our undermanned DL. In those situations against one of the top offenses in the NFL, you cannot allow Rodgers to just stand back there waiting for someone to get open on a deep crossing route and he gets to stand on his spot and throw a perfect pass when defenders are all around.

On most of those long plays and the final TD to his TE, we had guys within a foot of the ball, sometimes inches, but with no pressure and no hand in his face, Rodgers had the perfect windows to deliver on time as he pleased. All you have to do is move him off his spot slightly, make him wait a milisecond for window or change his arm angle to deliver the ball, and those perfect strikes can be batted down by a defender.

I thought Oscan and Wilcox had horrible games. Carr played great IMO. I loved seeing the dreaded 3 man rush! A dude that can move 5 feet and we rush 3!! Insane!
