4-2 at the bye looking good now

This was my preseason prediction at the bye. Initially I thought based on our schedule this would be fairly easy to achieve . A conservative outlook. And now it’s looking like 4-2 would much better , a positive outlook, after falling to 2-1 with these next 3 games against much tougher opponents.

The potential losses I had in this stretch was against Jets( with Rodgers) , SF and LAC. After starting 2-0 I was beginning to think I under estimated this team and was thinking 5-1 was a reasonable expectation.

Now assuming we win Sunday 4-2 looks pretty darn good. I think after a surprising and disappointment upset at the hands of AZ this weeks game against Pats looms much larger.

This is a game we simply can’t afford to lose now if we expect to stay on track. Otherwise it would make these two two games on the road virtually must win games. Or a monumental slide could begin.

IDK sometimes we lose ones we should have won (Cardinals) and win one no one expects us to (maybe Niners). Ill take 4-2 but a case could be made for 5-1, if we can get past the Patriots.

The Pats held the Dolphins to their (relative) lowest offensive output thus far this season. I don't see the Cowboys putting 40 on them (or anybody else in the next couple of weeks).
Thanks we need to be better first before we think this way

40 is a pretty poor barometer though, it's not usually a number that's reflective purely of how your offense plays.

3-3 at the bye. Teams will try 2 duplicate what the cards did, challenge us to adjust. We aren't physical in the trenches.
Why do people think physicality mattered at all in that game? People like to say that just because, but physicality had very little to do with the defensive performance.

It was the Cowboys blowing assignments left and right that was the problem.

I’m more confident in the D fixing things than the O. I think we take the Pats but I really would like the red zone issues resolved for one game. It’s like when you play rock, paper, scissors and you overthink it so you go “I’ll hit rock 3 times straight, no one will see it coming.” I think MM is stuck in his own head running the ball. Run or pass, pick your best plays snd hope the players execute

We’re not going to be 4-2 at the bye when we have opponents like the 49ers and Chargers before it. Chargers will be too much for this exposed defense to handle, especially considering the Cardinals of all teams exposed them. 49ers are an obvious L. This is even considering we win against the Patriots, which I am beginning to doubt more and more watching the excuses the coaching staff and players come up with. Let’s be real here, it’ll be more like 3-3 at best. I’m really predicting 2-4 if they don’t clean up their act, which they likely won’t.

I think people are giving NE a little bit too much credit.

They aren't enough better than the Giants, Jets or Cardinals to be any sort of measuring stick.
lol. Personally, I am not giving any opponent on the remaining schedule any credit. In my opinion, it does not matter whatsoever what the Patriots will bring to the table and everything to do with how Dallas executes its gameplan. Whatever they show against New England may not be truly indicative how the team will show up for San Francisco. However, it may hint at not seeing a repeat of last Sunday <fill in the blank> down the road. Or it may increase the odds of it happening again.

I do not know. This team is perplexing and Week 4 has not even officially kicked off yet.

That I certainly agree with.

I guess the trend of another poor, conservative gameplan would be concerning.

it was a-z. U name it, we did it wrong. We weren't physical, willing, and blew assignments all day like u said. In this game, physicality matters alot. We will be challenged this week by BB in this regard. Expect a heavy dose of runs.
