4-3 defense?

Why are some people so enamored with the 43? I don't understand it.

Since 2005, we've been built for the 34 defense. We have one of the better 34 defensive minds in the league. Why would we want to switch back after literally years of acquiring players who better fit the 34?

There's not anything wrong with the current system or coaches that a couple of player upgrades wouldn't fix.

I know its not happening but do you think this team is better off at the 4-3 instead of the 3-4 we dont have a real good nt and alot of 3-4 defenses do like pittsburgh with hampton, san deigo with williams, patriots with wilfork. Ferguson is ok but nothing special. Would a 4-3 defense suit us better. I think so ware, ratliff, tank and ellis would be dominate at the front 4. What do you guys think?

No. This is a 3-4 team.

ware, ratliff, tank and ellis sound pretty damn sick! I'd say that would be tight as hell! The linebackers could be ROLB Akin Ayodele, ILB Bradie James, LOLB Spencer. That would be a front seven to wrecken with!

Burnett and probably even carp would be starting at OLB. Spencer would start at DE like he did in college and Ellis would be a sitational pass rusher.

I think it would look like...Ware Ferg Tank Spencer on the line. and Carp/Ayodele, James, Burnett.

Reason I go with Ferg is that he can eat up double teams to free up Tank (like Tommie Harris in Chi).
