4 best (and 2 worst) Cowboys trades under Jerry Jones

Yep

We really don’t have to imagine what he’s thinking. Amazingly he continues to divulge his hand publicly for all to see. He’s even stupidly stated that his priority is remaining interesting and relative which explains much.

His owners hat reveals his intentions to hype and promote his brand. And he’s the only GM I know of who insists on staying front and center on our strategies because he feels it instills hope for fans while the rest shake their heads.
As to buying into that, he already has sold you as a salesman. We can figure out what's going on with every owner, coach, or player as well. What we don't know is what is going to happen. That is the sport and has to be waited upon. A fan enjoys just that.

Me...I am not here to kiss up to egos.

That is hilarious. Non-Dallas Cowboys fans acknowledge their favorite team's general manager has changed over the course of the past 34 years. Several times in fact. Changes occurred after non-Dallas Cowboys franchise owners fired their general managers and hired another (expectedly) qualified replacement. Or their general manager resigned and was subsequently replaced.

Can you be more specific about every process change that has occurred within the Dallas Cowboys front office between February 25, 1989 and today (and every day following today)? Just so there is clarification about what Dallas Cowboys fans must acknowledge in your opinion.
No, that is your preference...and I'm not wrong as to principal.

Don't ever label a non-dedicated assumption of yours as my demands. I am discussing and you are intending to declare non-refutable facts. They are not.

As to changes, I listed every head coach that Dallas has had since it's existence in 1960. I even included current coaches and influences with Jimmy's time. He made a ton of mistakes with his own coaches.

You now are pushing an agenda off on me that you won't accept a real discussion about...Jerry is just plainly wrong and a blimish on Dallas fans. No he isn't and Dallas is currently completely competitive this year.

You further declaring that wrong?

He is entitled to approach responsibility and ownership of a franchise on his own terms as owner. That part is not in conflict in America.

I have additionally included winning records and playoffs of all coaches but Landry...where were you in the discussion, but Jerry this or that?

He owes his franchise and fans...opportunity. He has fulfilled what the basic is.

Could things have been different? Sure. Why did Chicago take so long to win a World Series? Some times that is part of the picture. Sometimes it's not. Jerry has at least equaled the picture that started the franchise out with.

There still is merit, and if a person can't currently enjoy things for blaming Jerry...he is taking himself way too seriously as a fan.

Now get this straight. I didn't state a single fact that a fan HAS to acknowledge. You stand corrected here...

This post is already on thread:

Switzer had 3 playoff seasons in 4 seasons.
Chan Gailey had 2 playoff seasons in 2 seasons.
Bill Parcells 2 playoff seasons in 4 seasons.
Wade Phillips 2 playoff seasons in 4 seasons.
Mike McCarthy 2 playoff seasons in 3 seasons.

Perhaps you could add 4,000 yard passers for the Cowboys!

Know how many prime time games Dallas is in this season and what that means for Dak?

His point is personnel was Johnson's territory, all Booger did was agree to the deals and sign off on them.
That's not a small thing though. Jimmy obviously deserves credit for working out the deal, but it couldn't happen without cooperation and agreement from Jerry.as well.

Besides, the topic is "trades under Jerry Jones", and those trades were "under Jerry Jones"

Did Roger Staubach? No

Indicators for successful play have developed further, but Dallas is following suite as well.

Galloway was a last gasp attempt by Jerry to try and boost the offense for one more run.

It's hard to judge that trade because between his injury and Aikman's injuries and subsequent retirement we never got to see how it would have played out.

I do see the logic behind putting it in the worst trade category, as two firsts is a steep price to pay for a last gasp, but still....
Yea, that's an overpay but it's just trying for one more kick at the can with Aikman and Emmitt.

The 2000 team might have been pretty good with both Rocket and Galloway.

I admittedly didn't pull this out of my head, but ....

In 1974 Dallas traded Tody Smith (Bubba's brother) and Billy Parks for the 1st overall pick and a 3rd round pick, and those picks became Too Tall Jones and Danny White.

It’s laughable when Cowboy fans argue the Jethro era is greater than Landry cause he won 3 Rings. It tells me they know nothing about the championship caliber brand they built over 3 decades .

No real Cowboy fan I’ve ever known personally believes that the 3 Rings in Jethro over 2 Rings in Landry era defines this era was greater than previous. If they do then it’s not a Cowboy fan I’m interested in conferring with . I’d rather sit or chat with an opposing fan . Lol

C'mon, instead of a loser image, try he does what an owner should do and promote his team. How many prime time games are Dallas in this season?

He has a top franchise standing in all of sports world wide.

C'mon now. He isn't selling money to everyone. He is trying to make good football teams and on the whole does just that. Winning another Lombardi past the first ten years...is a fact. But did they have many chances since? Definitely and with some very good teams.

I really don't like a continuous crying in my beer...around sport. You play and watch games for the fun in seeing the challenge confronted. Now stay away purely insult on yet another desire for a Lombardi. During Murchison's ownership and even with Tom Landry, he won 2 Lombardis and that was with Roger Staubach.

With Jerry Jones, he won three Lombardis and that was with Troy Aikman. Jimmy damned near almost lost Troy ... as Tom damned near lost Roger.
Pardon me for believing 20 consecutive winning seasons, 20 playoff wins , 12 championship game appearances including 2 NFL title games, 5 Super Bowls and 2 Rings is greater than 4 championships game appearances and 3 Super Bowl rings. Not to mention the class and respect our franchise once had in comparison with our crap show this era.

Don’t even bother responding . Jethro homers are the worst kind of Cowboys fans. The fact you or any fan believes this era is greater than Landry era makes me sick.

No, you responded to me with made up crap.

I'm rooting for him even if you only insult someone who does that.

Has nothing to do with what you toss around proudly just as insult.

He hasn't even started to play a game this season.

That makes you little more than a wanna be bully...(laughing loudly) Woooooo Hooooo. Get a drink and shut up!

I at no time wear your stupid labels....now carry on being a tool.

Look Palsie, unless one makes up an ignorant math...3 is still higher than 2. You do none of the work to discuss...but have diahrea of the mouth, nonstop.

Admit it, one doesn't even know how to read a chart of NFL level comparisons, huh?

The two quarterbacks who won Super Bowls are Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman, try to dump a load now starting from there.

Very coherent and too elevated for your agenda...try cuffs and leg irons next.

A discussion based without an outside references is pure crap. I'm not impressed at all with your attempt at being a critic and sharing such crap.

I post a lot of references from outside site...you quote yourself with ring tappers.
