The corner back class is one of the deepest this year and there still will be day 1 starters to choose from, might even stretch to rd 3. Outside of losing Stokes late yesterday, here are 4 corners that are excellent fits for the Cowboys:

Melifonwu-fits their prototype to a tee. Big/Long, Fast. Ideal Cover 3 Corner. They have shown major interest in him.

Campbell-has all the physical traits they look for. His biggest issue is locating the football. Was Surtain's running mate in high school.

Joseph-he is as good as the 1st tier corners. What has made me drop is character concerns. Quit LSU twice and Kentucky was happy to see him go. His game and attitude resemble Marcus Peters, who is a good corner in this league.

Adebo-another, big/long corner, but lacks elite speed. He has a knack of getting his hands on many balls. Might be there at 75.

What will help the Cowboys is there are several undersized corners who will also be selected on day 2, which they will most likely not be interested with: Samuel, Robinson, Molden (as a corner)

I like Meli and Campbell in the 2nd.

It’d be really hard to pass on Moehrig or JOK if they’re there though.

Quinn has worked with the likes of Earl and Sherman, think he could handle a Joseph and a Parsons.
Sherman is just a smart dude. I would not compare him to Thomas. Now Joseph is more like Earl.

St. Juste is someone I can see then looking at on day 3. There are reasons not to like him (age, ball, ball production, medicals) but he has the requisite size and length.

Not a guy I would take day 2, but on day 3 he could good value as a guy that probably come right in and be in your top 4

honestly i am not looking at CBs at 44,feel the value is in rd 3.

Someone else posted this a while ago, but the Cowboys failure to sign a CB in free agency has left them in a tenuous position. Look at the rest of the division. The Eagles drafted Da'Vonta Smith and the Giants took Toney, to go along with their free agent acquisition Kenny Galladay. The Giants have all the weapons on offense and if their QB improves this year, their offense is going to be pretty powerful. The Giants also have a good defense. The Cowboys, in the meantime, are counting on Diggs, Lewis and Brown in pass coverage. I don't care how good their offense is, and I am not convinced it is as good as we think, those 3 CBs are going to give us the defense we had last year.

The Cowboys are almost forced to find1, or maybe 2 CBs in this draft.

I'm thinking our next 2 picks will be CB, and OT. We don't seem to value safety (Moehrig), and we think our DT just need some "seasoning" . CB and OT are our biggest need right now.

Barmore not a 1st round player

Major character concerns too..him and Parsons? Not sure about that

What character concerns does Barmore have other than people have questioned if he "wants" it consistently from game to game? Is he some sort of ****** off the field?

That is my hope at 44, unless one of those 1st rd players falls like JOK, Barmore or Jenkins.
why is JOK falling? If I'm moving up, he's my first target unless there is something going on that isn't public.

Campbell may be an interesting name to move back into the second round if he is there mid round. He looks to have all the measurables. We would probably need a stop gap starter for a year (Sherman?), but he looks interesting.

I didn't look into Samual, but man he highlights look good. The size is concerning but he makes plays on the ball and is not afraid to make plays in the run game. I am a fan.

Yeah, I was wondering about Melifonwu too. Is he a 2nd round guy?

The problem with Campbell is he doesn't make plays on the ball. If he did, I'd have had him in the 1st round.

Where did you hear we had major interest in Melinfonwu?

I don’t remember reading/hearing about that at all.

Throughout the process they have shown strong interest with him. His name has come up at times linking him to both the Cowboys and the Seahawks.

Needs aside, I don’t know how we don’t consider JOK ? Unless there is something there we don’t know about I’m all in. Too much upside to not consider stealing in round 2.
