If we’re going to make a run here this is our chance. We have a streak of 11 straight wins at home. Roadblocks are divisional games with Wash and Philly, and a tough one with Seattle.

Going into December after seeing plenty of Bills and Dolphins games they are less daunting as previously thought. We get Detroit at home as well.

The season is long and lots of things can happen as we’ve already seen. The key is to build towards playing your best football by the end of the season.

Yes sir.

Bills and Dolphins are a little wobbly right now. Just tough for this team to win on the road when stakes are elevated.

You’re one of the most levelheaded posters on this forum.

Good points.

NYG - home, and they will probably start a 3rd string QB.
Carolina - away, so hope this is not a trap game, as they start a 3 games in 11 days gauntlet. Thanks NFL for doing this again, idiots NFL.
Washington - home, T-Day, which teams will show up.
Seattle - home, also could be tougher than some may think. Team could be worn down.
Philly - home, but we get that mini bye to rest and heal.

If we are as good at home as we have been, should be 5 wins. But for some reason I feel it will be very hard to do.

After that, then the gauntlet of road games. Once again, like every year, or just about, we finish 3 of 4 on the road.
But Buffalo and Miami don't look as strong as many thought they would. Detroit at home may be the toughest game of all.
Then at Washington, to finish. I just hope by some miracle we have the vision wrapped up by then. But doubt that as well.

We must win them all. In fact, I can argue we might need to run the table. Its the Eagles div. 2 lose right now and its up to us to put some heavy pressure on them. That means winning all these games.

Against Philadelphia at their stadium...

In the end, Dallas outgained Philadelphia by a wide margin, 406 to 292 yards.

Rushing, Dallas was held to just 73 yards, with Tony Pollard contributing 51 at a 4.3 yards per carry clip. That is not bad, but the running game was slow getting started, particularly on the three and out to start the game

4-1 in this 5 game stretch puts us at 9-4 heading for the stretch run. Basically 1-3 gets you to 10 wins and into the playoffs. 2-2 gets you to 11.. 3-1 gets us 12 wins for the third straight season. I think most of us would call that a success. Win all 4 of the home games including Philly and take care of your business at Carolina, and we're 10-3 and in the HFA conversation. Totally changes the color of those last 4 games. The confidence of a 5 game win streak heading into the stretch cannot be overstated. This team can do it and if Dak continues on his current path I think they WILL do it.

The production of the receivers have to spread more efficiently in completions. The running has to improve and not just a repetitive 2 yards every first down.

The consistency of this offense would be a huge step forward and be the story of this season. It is very doable, but 5 sacks in any game is dramaticly wrong. No sacks and penalties. Better rehearsal and for all players during the week along the offensive line starters.

Sure wish one of the Bills/Dolphins games was at home. They both can be had on turf but it is a tall task to win either of those on the road and grass. I still think Dallas ends up 12-5 losing to Buff and Miami. They might even win one of those but lose to someone else.

Smith helped provide protection up front for an offense that accounted for 406 total yards against a talented Philadelphia defense that has talent on all three levels.

It may actually help the offensive line unless there is snow in Buffalo.

This is not some unique thing to the Cowboys. Outside of there being a bye week, it's the same for all teams with Thursday games.
You could just stick to the more simple "2 games in 4 days gauntlet." It's basically the same.

Though, really, it's 3 games in 12, or 2 in 5 (people don't want to count the actual day of the game for either the first, or the last game for some reason).

The Cowboys have to run the table to get the East. The good news is if they do they will be the number 1 seed. I don’t think any team in the NFC will finish better then 14 and 3.

I’m pulling for this team as much as anybody. But even if we somehow make up the 2 1/2 to Philly, they still finish with New York, Arizona, @ New York. They can sleep walk to 3-0. Dallas ends their last 3 with @ Miami (playoff team), Detroit (division winner) and @ Washington (possible 7 seed).
