Dolly Parton is doing the half-time...oh, they'll be good this one!
I hope so. I’ve sold my Thanksgiving tickets for the last 20+ years, but my grandson wanted to go so we’ll be there. I’m sure he has no idea who Dolly is, but he was all into Camila Cabello when she was the entertainment.

Don’t sleep on Washington. Howell puts up madden numbers and their OL is improving
Washington has losses to the Bears and Giants this year. Their defense stinks. Howell can put all the madden numbers he wants (which he really hasn't) and that still won't be even close to enough.

That’s what I don’t get with those that say the Division was lost this weekend.

The Cowboys are 2 games back in the loss column with another game at home against the Eagle. It’s reasonable to believe the Cowboys win that game.

That leaves them 1 back in losses. It’s also reasonable to think the Eagles will lose at least 1 game, maybe 2, of their games against the Chiefs, Bills and 49ers. And it’s not out if the realm of possibility they lose to the Seahawks.

Obviously, the Cowboys have tough games upcoming and have to take care of business, but the bottom line is this season is STILL in play. Strangely, the game I’m most concerned about is the Cerise-skins on Thanksgiving. The Cowboys have not played well the last few years on Thanksgiving.
Wash scares me more than Philly actually. The NFL is about matchups. Rivera plays us well and Howells first start last year he beat us. That’s without the new OC calling the shots as well. And you’re right we do seem to sleepwalk through Turkey day.

Make a run at what??????? This division belongs to the Eagles, the Cowboys may or may not make the playoffs, but if they do it will probably be one and done or maybe two and done. But either way, the Boys aren't beating teams like the EAGLES OR 9ERS anytime soon. The Cowboys have to be one of the most undiscipline team in the NFC and it's because of this that they'll be the main course on someone else's menu............
The Cowboys will make the playoffs. A good chance that the Cowboys beat the Eagles.

I’m pulling for this team as much as anybody. But even if we somehow make up the 2 1/2 to Philly, they still finish with New York, Arizona, @ New York. They can sleep walk to 3-0. Dallas ends their last 3 with @ Miami (playoff team), Detroit (division winner) and @ Washington (possible 7 seed).
I know, its a tall task given what we do every year..

i dont think Rivera has played us well at all, other than the terrible game dak had end of last season weve blown them out these past two years.

They do match with philly really well though

I never said I think they will lose to the Giants, Panthers and Commanders. Can you not read? All I’m saying is you can’t mark down any wins with the Cowboys regardless who they’re playing. We found that out against AZ.
I get what you're saying.. but I honestly believe this team has left that ability to lose focus behind. I think they will be laser focused the rest of the way.. It was a painful less but I think they've learned it.

I’m sure they were laser focused on Sunday but still lost. Winning big games against contending teams has become a real issue, especially on the road. The 3 game stretch against Philly, Buffalo and Miami will make or break us. Two of those games will be on the road.

Wait you think the Cowboys might lose to the Giants, Panties or Commodores? I mean I know it's an any given Sunday league but those teams are already in draft jockeying mode. No the team cannot take them lightly but I think this team learned from the AZ and 49er games how to keep their eyes on the proverbial prize. I don't expect another letdown the rest of the year. Now that the "I need to be a football player" light has gone on for Dak I think the team will saddle him up and ride him (and CeeDee). And I think that's gonna be good enough for at least 6 more wins. 7 counting the wild card game! :)
..couldnt agree more. Something clicked in Dak, that opened his mental Mojo. I can see him, balling from here on out.

Makes for being restless. Sunday cant come here fast enough.

To quote the great Jason Garrett, it's a process! LOL! Seriously it's possible to play well and still lose because the other team either plays better or gets more breaks. I think in the last game it was more the latter frankly which is why I came away from that game encouraged. For most of the game the Cowboys looked like the better team to me. But they had not turned the corner to realizing it yet. I think as they watch film of the game they will see it. And it will buoy them the rest of the year. It reminded me of the 2014 season opener against the 49ers.. Romo threw a bunch of picks. early and we got down like 28-3 at the half. But we dominated the Niners in the second half with Murray and with some strategic passing and almost completed the comeback.. I think it ended up 28-24. People were burying us after that game but I came on and said "I think the Cowboys will make the playoffs" because of what I saw from the team in that game.

This game showed me a lot of the same. Obviously the continuation of Dak and Cee lighting fools up as well as Ferguson's continued growth.. and of course the defense putting the clamps down on a really good offense. Those two short field TDs really hurt us. Credit to Philly for taking advantage.. but I don't expect a team to get to start at their own 40 yard line on back to back drives like that again this season. All we need is for one more guy on offense to join the party.. and the offense will be absolutely unstoppable. Who's it gonna be? Cooks? Pollard? Turp? Just one more playmaker to join the other three and the sky's the limit. That's why I'm optimistic about our future even after a tough loss. Call me a Cowboy homer all you want.. That's my take and I aint movin off it till the evidence forces me to.

Yeah it's much the same look I finally saw in Romo's eyes against the Ratscums in game 15 in 2013. I FINALLY saw a guy who "got it." He started seeing the field as well as anyone ever has.. his adjustments at the line were stupid good and his passes were pinpoint. Unfortunately for us he herniated a disc in that game and we had to got into the season finale against Philly with that jerkoff Kyle Orton at QB with the division on the line. But that 2013 game changed my mind about Romo.. Seeing him pull out that win playing through what had to be excruciating back pain sold me on him.. and believe me I had been firmly in the "this guy can't get out of town fast enough" camp after that brain dead INT that ended our season in 2012 in Washington.

Dak is obviously a different QB than Romo.. the legs are a MUCH bigger part of Dak's game than Romo. But now that Dak has had that light come on we see him knowing when to run.. when to bail out of the pocket and doing what he do.. THAT's the guy who can lead us to the promised land. Not that stand in the pocket pretending to be Tom Brady guy..

:muttley: :muttley: :muttley: :muttley:  Ever competed and had to work for anything in sport before. At the USAFA , we took out Miami and played Tennessee in the Sugar Bowl. That when appointments to the Academy didn't have a special case authorization for size for football. We were usually outweighed by about 50 pounds per linemen...I was a linebacker there.
And your point being? THIS Cowboy is so dam undiscipline and when they need to get the D off the field or keep a drive alive someone either lines up offsides or ends up with a stupid holding call or a false start. When the Boys are going up against elite teams they have to play mistake free football and that NEVER seems to happen on this club. It's hard enough beating other teams, but when your own team keeps beating itself, it's game over...............

The NFL doesn't have elite teams. At least 10 teams are contending for the Super Bowl and the Cowboys are still in contention.

Yeah the NFL has not had a complete team since the 90's. Free agency and the salary cap have ensure that you will never see a team that is dominant in all three phases and at all levels again. I came to grips with it 25 years ago.. I really encourage others to do so as well. Quit looking for those 90's Cowboys and 49ers level teams. You will not seem them again.. Just try to enjoy what you got.

well, I am glad you are not on my team. at the first sign of controversy you raised the white flag and surrendered. please don't join the army.
At first sign of controversy???????? What are you posting about?????? The same lame BS has been going on for decades! The Cowboys are an undiscipline team that makes too many mistakes when they go heads up against an elite team. In the 9ER game they didn't even bother to get off the bus and just tossed their helmets onto the field and hoping for the best. In the Eagles game they were handed a victory by the Eagles and gave it back to them because they don't have a clue on how to win big games, they nut up at the wrong time! They've got receivers and TEs who don't realize that on a 4th down play you either have to run your route past the 1st down marker to keep a drive alive or into the END ZONE if it's 4th and goal if they want to score any points against their stout opponents. It's like watching that stupid movie Gound Hog Day when I'm watching a Cowboy game!
