Even though the DE position isn't very good for the team the overall production from the DL today was unacceptable.

Sometimes things work out and sometimes they don't.

I get it and it sucks, and I know we needed Zeke, but it's time to go heavy on DL. No more messing around.

Hitting on Dak allows us to shore up all of our weaknesses.

Get a lot of premium DL picks in here (read: first/second/third round) and let the best group win.

T. Crawford is OK. Irving flashed but ultimately only ended up flashing 1 every 4 games or so.

Anybody else think Cedric Thorton was a huge disappointment this season?

They won't do that. They'll follow their board. They'll take a DE in one of the first two rounds and one possible towards the end of the draft. On top of that they sign a middling DE via free agency.

We've been doing this stuff for over a decade. Even if a team has great players, they still have to make good decisions in key moments. We started off by settling for a field goal on 4th and 2 on their 30 to go up 3-0. Then we spike the ball to kill our 1st down at the end of the game because we were fine with having fewer downs to score a TD since we were already in FG position. We played not to lose the entire game. We do it all the time. We rarely puts teams out of their misery, even when we're the much better team. Doesn't help that boneheaded mistakes prevented us from scoring TDs on our first 3 drives the way GB did. As pathetic as our defense was, the things I saw today were the same things I saw throughout the entire Romo era and even before him. It's sad because Dak had the most impressive game I've seen from him.

One of the biggest challenges with monster physical freaks like Irving is finding a way to keep their motor going 100% of the time.

It hasn't necessarily been a priority, but then again we also have gone 12-4 and 13-3 two of the last three seasons.

Our identity is power run game because that's where BPA has lead us.

It's just frustrating we haven't gotten anything out of our attempts on the DL.

Looking at the draft boards I think a DE in round 1 is likely... And it wouldn't surprise me to see a CB taken in round 2.
