I said I’d take a win any day against the Eagles in the postgame thread but that does not revoke any issues seen in this game and the past games. The defense has severe issues. Dak still has cold starts. Defense is waning. Offensive playcalling is still terrible. Clock management is also bad. Calling these out and preparing for the worst when it comes to this team that always falters doesn’t negate me being a fan. Sure I’m not the positive force everyone on this board wants me to be doesn’t mean I’m not a fan.

We all wanna see it in the playoffs.. But the playoffs are three weeks away.. So why not enjoy what's in front of us? Today was an amazing performance by Dak and the offense. After the shaky start he righted himself and absolutely strafed what had been the #2 pass defense in the league coming in. This games dispelled more than its share of myths.

1) Dak can't win without a dominant running game..
2) Dak can't beat winning teams..
3) Dak can't beat playoff teams..
4) Dak can't win big games..
5) Dak can't shine against good defenses.

All of those canards took a beating today. I enjoyed the win if for no other reason than it will cause his detractors to have to tie themselves in knots to discredit him this week.. though I have little doubt that they will find a way.. And they will look like complete buffoons doing it. That will be almost as entertaining as this game was.

Exactly! Can’t wait till Monday to see what Shady McCoy has to say after Dak, beat his boys……..AGAIN!!

Despite all that they've manage to win 11 games and just hung 40 on "the best team in football" specifically the #2 pass defense and #5 overall defense. It is not "delusionaly positive" to assert that Dak owns the Eagles along with the rest of the NFC East. Whether you acknowledge it or not, the Eagles absolutely know it. Yes there are issues to clean up.. but truth be told the Cowboys played a B minus game and still beat the Eagles. Yes the Eagles offense ate up the Cowboys defense missing a handful of starters. But the D made plays when they had to. I'm going to enjoy this win especially for the hand wringing it causes the Cowboy haters. On to Nashville!

Okay fine.. let's go with the narrative that the Eagles left the field Sunday after absorbing a third consecutive 40 burger orchestrated by Dak Prescott brimming with confidence.. Does that seem more likely to you? Having been an athlete in my youth I can tell you that if somebody beat me like that over and over I didn't walk away from that game thinking, "I'll git 'em next time." Fortunately it didn't happen to me a lot.. but when it did.. I knew it. That's the thing about athletes.. You know when somebody is better than you. Yes outwardly you present the false bravado that you think you can eventually catch up to them.. but inside you know..

As the kids used to say "Game recognize game." The competitor in you relishes the challenge.. but when you lose over and over.. you have to accept that the other guy is better. That doesn't mean that you won't show up for the next game/race/competition.. but you aint showin up with any delusions about winning.
